You spin me right round, baby, right round Like a record, baby, right round, round, round You spin me right round, baby, right round Like a record, baby, right round, round, round…
It is fun but wish there were more maps
we had a 5 player session as a first impression. This is NOT a solo game. I mean, you can play solo but there's a lot of game mechanics that make this a multiplayer game. Sessions are quick and fast. There's a bug atm where you cant create invite-only session that has a working invite mechanic (through steam or in-game) so you need to make an "open game" and have your crew join your session through steam. Limit the player size if you dont want randoms joining.
Great potential, let me drive the van around when I fix it and dodge tornados/ let me hunker it down. Game is very bare bones just run find van parts leave. It’s fun getting struck by lighting or having a tornado pull you in but besides that it feels kind of bland. I refunded but I’d buy it again if it gets needed updates.
its alright really repetitive though and i feel like you should be able to chase the tornadoes after you fix your van
Its so laggy i cant do any of the mini games, on any graphics setting. Actually unplayable.
Played 6 straight hours of this game last night, first with a full 8 players, then 6-4-3 as people HAD to go to sleep. For an early access game, the loop is pretty fun and the unlockable outfits give you something to strive for. Below are highlights... Pros: -A fun gameplay loop with a high player-count to allow no friend to be left out -The tornadoes are varied in intensity and always pose a great challenge to your objectives -Unlockable outfits are available through completing certain tasks. They possess perks to benefit your crew in different ways (Faster Defib with Downed Player Highlights, Lighter Tools and faster skill checks, etc.) -A true sense of dread when the F5 (The time-aspect of an excursion) is approaching. -A strong roadmap that shows no plans of letting this game fall off. -The overarching objective to repair the van to escape alive while collecting company property and lore-based items remains enjoyable and always gives you something new for readers and lore-enjoyers alike. -The achievement system is creative, making you want to try new things (Like throwing an unreasonable amount of darts into your friends or just trying to find a way to get on top of the van.). It doesn't feel like boxes to check or large numbers to one day achieve. It shows you there are things you can try and ways to be creative within the game. Cons (Most of these simply have to do with the age of early access and don't necessarily mean they won't change in the future): -The one available map can begin to feel stale after several hours of play (Per roadmap, the next is coming in October, though) -While the available outfits to unlock offer good perks, being able to see what the perks are prior to unlocking them would help anyone make a better-informed decision on which path to take to help their friends. -Occasionally the spawn rates of tornadoes on normal difficulty have left me stuck in one crumbling house for a lot of the playthrough. 3-4 dropped on top of me in rapid succession, not allowing me to help the team progress with the crucial items I had on my person. Desired Updates: -As said in cons, being able to see perks of new outfits prior to unlocking them would be great to see what to aspire toward to be an effective team member. -More maps, but I know they are soon to come. -More outfits that seek new parts of gameplay to simplify. -A reduced time to be on fire from 10min to maybe 5min to unlock the firefighter outfit. Sometimes fire doesn't even happen on a map and can make it difficult to progress. (Though, this does add some longevity to the game for those looking to put time even more time in, the perks (Fire resistance and no spread to teammates), don't seem to be worth the effort of unlocking the outfit due to the infrequency of fires. -Customization items to be unlocked through the achievement system if more customization comes in the future. Performance: I listed my specs here, my PC is starting to show its age despite a decent-enough set up. This ISN'T the case for this game. Max settings applied and in my time, I've yet to experience a stutter or a graphical anomaly at all. The game runs very well at this time. Conclusion: At a great price of admission, tornado lovers are going to enjoy this game for quite some time. It's playable solo but far better with friends to help you escape the dreaded F5 that approaches. The use of a mile indicator over a time-based countdown on the F5 keeps the intensity high and keeps you from staring at a clock the whole time. This EA release shows promise and passion for the game being developed. I recommend you grab some friends, have some fun, and keep posted on updates for a reason to come back and enjoy it again!
Gotta be honest, this is nothing ever happens simulator. It is such a unique and cool idea but i dont wanna play a game where i run around for 15 minutes gathering items over and over with no deviation, the tornados are AWESOME but for half of the game they are not a threat, and even when they are its so easy to duck and run. You cant play the harder more FUN difficulties until you grind out the boring parts If this game ever gets a update to add more modes or let us newbies play harder difficulties, i will replay it
Please wait for a sale, or more content
Funnel Runners is a unique and interesting concept, and I fully believe this game can be good. I do hope to one day come back to this review to change this to a positive. But I was tired after the first 30 minutes, that the next 30 felt more like a chore than a game. At the moment, however, this game feels like a scam. I really hate having to say that, since I always try to find good in games. I cannot, in any faith, let people spend their money on a game that has less content than Steam Next Fest demos. There are many other good games to play over this for less. I cannot, in any way possible, agree with the price point. $15 is way too much for a game like this. I prefer not to refund games, but I could not accept the fact that this game is an actual demo, and should not be sold at this moment. The receptiveness is horrible, and I have played 200 hours of Lethal Company and other lethal likes. I enjoyed those games because of the amount of content, the moddibility, and the challenge to get a better score. This game is not rewarding, and feels like actual slop currently. I only played around an hour with friends, and as far as I am aware, there is only 1 map (there was a ? mark for another, I do not know if there is another in the game, but if I am spending $15 on a game, I would prefer more than 1 map after playing an hour.) While Lethal, Repo, and even Phasmophobia have scoring and rewarding, this game did too, but it was, well, bad. You never feel rewarded, which is what makes the games mentioned earlier fun. The whole game loop is: 1. Go into storm 2. Run around neighborhood finding stuff to repair your truck 3. Leave 4. Repeat again. I get a lot of the lethal or friend games are kind of the same, but there is so much more to it. This game just feels like a giant fetch quest. To make it more aggravating, you only get 3 equipment slots. That is limited, but is fine, except 75% of the items take up 2 or all 3 of these slots. It gets aggravating having to grab a tire, take it back to the truck, then go back to the house, grab the jack, take it back to the truck. Then, you go back to the same house, grab a toolbox, take it back to the truck. Finally you can repair the tire. The storage box isn't even a storage box. They shouldn't even call it that because YOU CANNOT STORE ANY GEAR. The whole purpose of the box is to store documents you find laying around. These documents (tapes, files, newspapers) do not actually do anything except give you some extra XP at the end. At least the bones in Phasmophobia did not take up an inventory slot, and it felt fun trying to scavenge for them. Every time you do a task, you are met with a quick time event. EVERY TIME. This wouldn't be an issue if there was actual some variety in them, but it is always the same thing. You are met with a circle with a green spot that you have to hit, and you have to do this for every task. It is so boring, failing doesn't do a thing except make you start over. I would rather spend time trying to lockpick a door in Fallout than do these dumb quick time events. I am sorry to the developers, but this is not a good state for the game at all to be released. For $15, you are selling a demo. I played demos from the Steam Next Fest that had way more content than this game did. I am telling every customer that right now, you can spend the same amount of money an a large number of coop games that have 10x the content this game does and way more replayability. I genuinely question if some of these reviewers are actually real people or not because the game is such a scam in its current state.
Me gusto mucho, quiero saber que nuevo contenido van a meter
