The game has a very fun game loop, and a unique communication system. The disasters feel like real threats, and the close calls you can get can feel really hype. The storage system, though simple, feels really balanced, and fun to use. But there are some problems that nee to be addressed.
- Since the game is early access, there is only one map, so the game can feel repetitive a times.
- The leveling system feels harsh, and unrewarding. Me and my friends been playing for over 10 hours, and none of us has unlocked a harder difficulty. Even after we started doing the side quests, we were making barley any more XP. Not to mention that all the avatar customization stuff is lock behind the leveling system. Even the colors of your avatar are locked behind the leveling system.
- My last complaint is that all the early colors you unlock look the same when playing outside the van. And I have not even unlocked one yet that's distinct enough to tell whos who from even a small distance. And the unique outfits are locked behind very difficult tasks, that would take hours of game play, or solo grinding. But that wouldn't even be a problem if the colors were just more distinct.
Over all, the game is really fun, and I would recommend if your looking for a fun game to play with friends. And if any of those things I mentioned feels like a problem to you, just wait for more updates. The developer is pumping out almost weekly updates, and seems like they actually really care about their game, and trying to make it better.
