Foundation is really good, Just needs more content.
it is SOOO FUN
An amazing game so far that I'm excited to see the future of. I see a lot of people commenting about lack of polish, variety, mechanics, etc. I just want to remind everyone it hasn't even been TWO MONTHS since the early access release on top of the fact we are quite literally just now entering that phase of their clearly laid out roadmap for launching. I've seen plenty of people complain about devs giving up on games before they reach their full potential recently but not enough talking about how half the time it seems when a game's development dies it's because players give up on the game immediately due to this instant gratification mindset a lot of gamers seem to have nowadays, where every new game seems to be a fad for a couple weeks to a month and then dies. My tip to avoid getting burnt out/giving up on games is this, diversify your portfolio, play smaller games like this on a rotation with your go to games and other small games like this to maintain a variety.
10/10
I recommend this game, but wow did they change it already. Normal is almost impossible to finish a round now with two people. I don't know why there was such a swing in difficulty, but it feels daunting to even finish a round on normal difficulty now.
My friend got sucked. 10/10
W game. absolute w game
TLDR; Great game if you're a thrillseeker. Content is a bit scarce at the moment, but the gameplay loop is rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable. Devs have a short-term roadmap available. DISCLAIMER: I have never seen a tornado IRL. But holy crap is this game incredible. Nothing terrifies me more than hearing a cell forming above my head, and the roaring winds as it descends to take me away into the dark of night (or day). The sheer panic as I run for my life, screaming to my friends that I'm toast and then...somehow outrunning the tornado by the grace of the gods. Nature may show mercy, but it can also taketh what it's given. Hiding on the toilet in the bathroom as the F4 tears apart the very sanctuary in which you thought would harbor you from the elements. Watching your body whisk away into the edge of the universe as your friends watch in horror from the van they were hiding in. Truthfully, there's not a lot of content available in this game yet, and I see that the first new map drop isn't until sometime in October. It does make me sad that more content isn't available, but the thrill of the tornadoes mostly makes up for that. I pray with my entire being that this game continues to add more content to the game, because it's truly a unique project that I've never seen something similar to. The gameplay loop is fairly simple, loot houses looking for objective items to help fix your van to escape, all while avoiding disastrous tornadoes that wreak havoc on the houses they come across. It's a battle of time to escape before the dreaded F5 tornado rolls in. You can play with up to 7 other players in a lobby, but I have only played with 2 others at any given time. Find the parts, fix the van, and collect items or complete extra objectives for better rewards. Some extra objectives end up being kind of buttcheeks, like collecting documents or tapes. Some matches I get lucky and find them, others I am better off searching through a haystack for a needle. The only gripe I have is in reference to the current content available. But the gameplay loop itself is entertaining, as well as the growing dread of learning to challenge the tornadoes and risk your soul for the bag. I praise the developers on the great work they've done so far, and hope that this game gets the attention it deserves.
