Not a bad little game. Story line animations and characters are cute but combat and enemies are kind of stale and too easy. Although it is fun for a bit to spin around murdering everything then pull a relic tower outta the ground and beat spiky cobras with it lol.

Really cute. Dialog in-game goes a little too fast for me to read, but most of it plays out slowly in cut scenes, where it makes great reading practice.
"ぶんまわしヒーロー / Full Swing Hero" (aka "Spinning Hero") is a weird, console-like brawler (RPG-lite, but very very lite on that) that's more cutscenes and animation work than actual game (probably for the best because there's not much of a game here, but also, that's a huge problem because we're here for the games). There's an anime plot and some rather unappealing gameplay. What do you do in the game? It's arcade combat that revolves around (geddit, revolves) around doing big spinning attacks... yeah, one gimmick, and not even a great one. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this never made it to the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for. The graphics are lacklustre because this was designed for mobile phones, not gaming PCs. Whenever a product is designed to run tolerably on 5 year old iPhones, it's obviously not going to come close to the minimum quality standards that PC gaming enthusiasts except on their cutting edge gaming rigs. One more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. PC gamers don't spend thousands on their gaming rigs so they can pretend they're iPhones. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 14 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.
Though I would like to write a positive review for this game I seem to have failed to get past the title screen. Seeing the "Press to start " (literal wording) message on the screen and then pressing every button on my keyboard and mouse only to see it still there was a bit daunting. Whats worse is the game does not truly specify controls nor have i been able to find any so I'm at a loss on weather the game is even worth playing.
Short and awesome game. The gameplay concept is very entertaining and doesn't get boring within the roughly 1-2 hours you need to beat the game. Huge recommendation.

If you have a couple of hours or so to kill and you have a controller nearby, you will definitely like this game. Being only in Japanese means you most likely wont be able to read the dialog between characters. However, it does do a good job of explaining things like your controls despite also remaining untranslated, unless you mash all the buttons at the beginning of the game and find out what they do yourself, you do you. The game play is quite gimmicky, which makes this game stand out among others, and its art style is well done too. Even though it is a fairly short game, it is fun the whole way through, especially when you realize what you are able to pick up and use.
In a glimpse, it's pretty good. The core gameplay is neat, but rather slow-paced. The illustrations are also cute. Since I'm using a DirectInput gamepad, could you consider optimizing the settings for it? I'm having trouble binding the Trigger buttons with my gamepad.
