Forgotten Souls is a minimalist low poly 3D rendered 2D PvP local multiplayer only strategy game made with Unity. Gameplay consists of buying from a selection of 3 different units, or a bridge structure, placing units on the game grid, and then moving them against the enemy as needed. There's also a custom map creator. While the game has the elements of a complete game, there's a plethora of quality problems. There's no AI mode, and no online multiplayer, so you have to play this game hotseat on the one PC. That's a glaring deficiency. The game is presented with lacklustre minimalist untextured polygons, despite the 2021 launch date. Textured polygons were completely commonplace back in the 1990's, so again this is an inexcusable lapse of quality. Games don't exist in a vacuum. While this has all the elements any complete game would need (excluding AI, online gameplay, and a minimum acceptable standard of visuals for a 2021 game), compared with other strategy games it's somewhat farcical... there's online capable turn based strategies with hundreds of unit types, textured polygons, single and multiplayer modes... this is a very poor cousin by comparison. While this is free, and that's noble, it doesn't compare well to more professional turn based strategy games. However, there are well done elements of this game, so I hope to see more from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without the need for compromises like low poly minimalist "art". Gamers looking for a great turn based strategy experience should consider games like Civilisation, X-Com 2 or the latest Battletech game from Harebrained.

"Based on the classic Lost Souls"? All I could find was a Mayan board game that was included in a 2010 novel..is it based on that Lost Souls? I've tried to play this a few times against myself and never managed to finish a match. I dunno. I guess it's a free game and its memorable, so I'll give it a thumbs up. You get what you pay for.
fun to play with friends
"Klasik Lost Souls'tan uyarlanmış" mı? Bulabildiğim tek şey 2010 tarihli bir romanda yer alan bir Maya masa oyunuydu.. Kayıp Ruhlar'dan mı esinlenilmiş? Bunu birkaç kez kendime karşı oynamayı denedim ama hiçbir maçı bitiremedim. Bilmiyorum. Sanırım bu ücretsiz bir oyun ve unutulmaz, bu yüzden onu beğeneceğim.
perty fun, cool concept, take territory with units, gain money from territory, spend money on more units and build tiles, kiill enemy to win.
