Forever Someday

Yet another example of why Steam should have a "neutral" recommendation. This "game" is very short. I finished it in its entirety in 13 minutes. It is more of a personal experience for people going through a certain life event than it is a game. There isn't much in terms of gameplay. Basically what you see in the trailer is exactly what you will see when going through the experience/game with no extra scenes. There are elements you need to interact with to progress the experience/game, but nothing is complicated. The experience/game portrayed emotions that are very true to what it feels like going through a breakup, but failed to make me experience those emotions myself, if that makes sense. Kinda like the difference between talking about emotions and feeling emotions yourself. Some of the motion is disorienting. The screen shakes, and while this seemed to fit the vibe, I could see how someone prone to motion sickness wouldn't like it. It didn't bother me personally, though. The music is enjoyable, though I see it is from a free sounds website. I don't see why someone would want to buy this if they weren't/hadn't gone through a breakup themselves. It feels more like the creator's way to cope with their own romantic loss. I'm giving it a cautious "yes" recommendation because maybe it would help someone else cope too. In other words, I felt neutrally about it, but I can see why it was made. To anyone going through a breakup themselves, I am very sorry to hear that. Sending Internet hugs to all the Internet strangers who are going through this type of pain.
