add more movesets, combat gets repetitive very fast. but great game otherwise
It's a pretty fun game IMO, the main issue is the movement, it's pretty bad, and that makes the combat itself worse, but if they manage to fix it, it's an amazing little game that I could play for hours, the inventory mechanic it's pretty fun and original and looks like there's a pretty good selection of enemies (even though I didn't go into very high rounds), also, a lock-on camera would be nice too, at least IMO.

this game is really fun to play and has so many potential to be even funnier, really great work from dev and the team that made this game, hopefully later they add a co-op mode.
This is fun af. A little jank, but fun. I like the different models for weapons and armor.
This game is simple but addicting! -You are a rat gladiator fighting against waves of insects and other vermin. -You level up, earn weapons, armour and unlock perks. -There are three weapon classes to choose from, each with unique abilities (all random). They are: one-handed (swords/maces/axes + shields), two-handed (zweihanders, warhammers and battleaxes) and ranged (bows). -You get a checkpoint for five completed waves. I don't even know how many there are because, at the time of this review, I'm still at wave 60 or something. But I assume there are 100. -No story and no soundtrack but the gameplay is very fun and the graphics/artstyle ain't bad, either. Just play it.
"Forest of Tails: Arena" is a shallow and somewhat pointless wave survival arena brawler that looks like it was rejected from consoles. All you do is control a mouse (actual mouse, not a computer peripheral) with your mouse (computer peripheral) to kill waves of insects using various melee weapons. Yawn. There's no motivation or progression worth noting, this feels like a pointless tech demo. This looks a lot like it was designed for consoles, but released on Steam instead by mistake. While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this never made it to the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. The assets look a little mismatched but they're also much higher quality than the actual game. It's a bit of a red flag for an asset flip, but there's no evidence or smoking gun in this case. While there's no proof, the overall low quality of the actual "game" part (an important part of the whole package that makes up a game) is indistinguishable from an asset flip, and no matter where the assets came from, the quality here is bad. Next is pricing and what value this has for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 12 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I can't suggest people should download this, there's too many quality issues. Games don't exist in a vacuum... PC gamers have thousands of better options over this.
