not a great game AI generated content really bad gameplay theres much better games like this for the same price.

Unity
To be perfectly honest, I was on the fence on giving this game a positive review. While Forbidden Offering does not reinvent the wheel, as far as Survivors-likes go, it delivers a decent enough experience that I would recommend at least giving the demo a shot. Unfortunately, however, it feels... unfinished in its current state.
The Bad
My main point of contention here is that the game is simply too short, with only three chapters total. Although it initially builds a compelling nobledark setting about a doomed world only maintained by inhumane rituals, Forbidden Offering barely expands upon that during gameplay or the short cutscenes in between chapters. Instead, we get treated to the story of the witch March and the recently rescued sacrifice Lenore. Unfortunately, the sequences are simply too short to introduce any serious character development. As such, the cutscenes only deliver some additional exposition while doing little to nothing with it.
The Good
The gameplay, on the other hand, is perfectly workable. The weapons feel balanced with no "strong", "weak" or even pointless upgrades while the short duration of each run ensures the game never overstays its welcome. What really swings this review towards the positive side, however, is the way the companion mechanic and game difficulty are implemented. You see, Lenore actually tries (and sometimes even succeeds) to be helpful by collecting items and experience orbs on easy and normal difficulty. Hard mode, however, makes her vulnerable, forcing the player to actually factor her protection into their play style and upgrade strategy instead of simply making enemies spongier.
Conclusion
In a nutshell, Forbidden Offering could use some additional chapters or even just a proper epilogue instead of the current ending. However, the game not only plays well, the developer has even released several updates with new features already. This makes it seem like they're genuinely interested in delivering a good experience. That alone is worth a lot, considering this game came basically out of nowhere.

Buena historia, personajes, música pero muy difícil
It's an alright game, it'ts neither good or bad but it's a cheap and short vampire survivor like. There are better alternatives but they might be pricer
Forbidden Offering is a dark fantasy roguelite that blends emotional storytelling with fast-paced bullet-heaven combat, creating an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly character-driven. Developed and published by Binah Games, the title follows the journey of March, a young witch determined to challenge a prophecy that demands the sacrifice of her closest friend, Lenore. Rather than accepting an inevitable fate, March embarks on a dangerous quest to protect the person she cares about, setting the stage for an adventure centered on friendship, defiance, and the consequences of forbidden magic. What immediately separates Forbidden Offering from many games in the genre is its narrative focus. While most bullet-heaven titles use minimal storytelling to justify endless waves of enemies, this game places the relationship between its two protagonists at the center of the experience. The world is threatened by catastrophe, yet March refuses to accept that saving everyone requires losing someone important to her. This conflict provides a strong emotional foundation that gives purpose to every battle and every step of the journey. The narrative may not be overly complex, but it succeeds in creating investment in the characters and their struggle against destiny. The gameplay follows the established roguelite formula of surviving increasingly dangerous enemy swarms while collecting upgrades and enhancing abilities throughout a run. Players gradually unlock stronger magical attacks, passive bonuses, and powerful relics that can completely alter their strategy. The progression system is designed around experimentation, encouraging players to discover combinations that complement their preferred playstyle. Runs begin with a sense of vulnerability, but eventually evolve into spectacular displays of magical destruction as players become capable of wiping out large groups of enemies with devastating attacks. One of the game's most interesting mechanics is the synergy between March and Lenore. Their combined powers introduce unique interactions that elevate combat beyond simple stat upgrades. The connection between the two characters is reflected directly in gameplay, allowing players to create powerful combinations that feel both mechanically satisfying and narratively meaningful. This system reinforces the game's central themes while also adding depth to character progression. It is a clever design choice that helps the game stand apart from competitors that rely solely on conventional weapon evolution systems. The world itself contributes significantly to the atmosphere. Players travel through mysterious regions filled with supernatural threats, hidden secrets, and remnants of a world on the brink of collapse. The environments are visually distinct and support the dark fantasy tone effectively. Every location feels touched by the influence of ancient powers and forgotten mysteries, giving exploration a sense of purpose beyond simply surviving the next enemy encounter. The constantly changing nature of each run further enhances replayability, ensuring that no two journeys unfold exactly the same way. Visually, Forbidden Offering delivers an appealing blend of colorful magic effects and dark fantasy aesthetics. Battles become increasingly chaotic as dozens of enemies flood the screen, yet the action generally remains readable thanks to the clear presentation of abilities and attacks. Character designs help establish the personalities of the protagonists, while enemy designs and environmental details reinforce the game's themes of sacrifice, corruption, and forbidden power. The visual style may not be groundbreaking, but it is cohesive and effective in bringing the game's world to life. The soundtrack and atmosphere work together to create a sense of urgency and melancholy throughout the adventure. Whether facing overwhelming enemy hordes or exploring dangerous landscapes, there is a consistent feeling that the protagonists are fighting against impossible odds. This emotional undertone strengthens the narrative and helps maintain engagement during repeated runs, making progression feel connected to the larger story rather than existing solely for gameplay purposes. Forbidden Offering ultimately succeeds by combining addictive survival-based combat with a surprisingly heartfelt narrative. Its strongest qualities come from the relationship between March and Lenore, the satisfying progression system, and the dark fantasy world that frames the entire adventure. While it may not radically redefine the bullet-heaven genre, it introduces enough unique ideas and emotional depth to stand out among similar titles. Fans of roguelites and action-survival games will find plenty of reasons to keep returning for additional runs, especially if they appreciate character-focused storytelling alongside challenging combat.
