like the game, don't like the decision to remove linux support

On September 10th Ubisoft have confirmed via social media that you'll no longer be able to play the game via Linux that also includes Steam OS for steam deck and the steam machine. This is frankly a terrible decision as rather than fix their flawed cheat system which fails to identify cheaters they're now revoking the ability to play for a decent amount of players who have spent many hours and money on this game. It wasn't bad enough that the other day they forgot to add the game files for might and magic and now they're deciding to cull and already low player base for For Honor. Yikes.

Please note. This negative review is not due to the gameplay, but rather Ubisofts decision to np longer support Linux (Aka Steamdeck). A brief back story, i played (badly) alot of FH back when it launched on my PS4, i dont know how many hours it is, but it was alot and i loved it. There is really no other game like it. Fast forward, i move to PC gaming, i asked for cross progression for many years, and then recently, it was granted. I repurchase FH again on PC, transfer my dafa and im back into it. Absolutly brilliant. I load it on Steamdeck and i am blown away at how well it runs..i by some steel and some characters... im back into it . Transfer to today... Ubisoft is no longer going to support Linux... for anti cheat reasons.. because theyre dropping a ranked mode???? What is this madness? FH is sweaty enough as it is, i dont need a ranked mode, i just want it to run on my steamdeck, so i can play on the couch next to my partner why she watches tv... You only have to read reddot forums to realise how many people its going to effect (mainly people like me playing it on a steam deck) Sadly, i think Ubi have just killed their game. For shame...

It should be illegal to disable a game for paying customers without so much as a refund. Valve should expand refund coverage to cases like this. Dear Ubisoft. I won't forget this, and will think long and hard before ever handing over a single cent to you in the future.

Game is now blocked on linux, Cant even play a game I paid money for. in the name of "anti cheat" which is bs

No Linux? - Goodbye. Banning Linux? - I will never buy your games.
