They removed linux compatibility

It was fun but I can't play the game anymore because I'm on Linux. Thanks Ubi. :/

After owning the game for almost 10 YEARS, they are removing Linux support. After spending over 100 dollars for a game, I will no longer be able to play this game, and I will 100% never buy another game from Ubisoft after this. They are a greedy, scummy, tactless company and I hope all of their future projects fail. Additionally, the fact that steam allows them to do this and not allow refunds immediately when a company does this, to me, shows that steam cares more about their bottom line than standing up for the players.

All I feel is hatred toward this game and its devs

(This is just a copy/paste from my comment on their recent community post. But I feel it still holds true for a review as well.) Normally, when a company releases an update and all you see are negative comments, you'd assume the fanbase is just a thankless group of nerds. But with For Honor, ever since you guys stopped supporting the Steam Deck and Linux, its completely justified. All because you wanna use the same, cheap, least effective anti-cheat system that every other game, that is PLAUGED WITH CHEATERS MIND YOU, is using. A buddy of mine spent a good chunk of time on this game, and it was one of the few we could play together that didn't run like cheeks on the Steam Deck for him because he can't afford a PC thanks to the skyrocketing price of components. And you took that away from him, along with his money. I understand this comment wont go recognized by the Ubisoft, and I'm most likely just an angry old man screaming at clouds, but this is genuinely a disgusting move to "Prevent Cheating" for a ranked mode that wont get nearly as many players as the base mode. Ubisoft lost the plot, and I lost my Duo.

For the love of god do not buy this game right now. If a friend is trying to persuade you don't buy this. Most of the people have exceptionally poor etiquette and there are even people with swastikas on this game. The combat is very unique but it's not intuitive, nor is it particularly fun getting gimmicked by every single new flavor of the week. The game is blatantly on life support and should've gotten a sequel instead of running around aimlessly with all its issues for the 10 years it's been around now. This community needs some help.
