Flash Point: Fire Rescue

Zuerst einmal muss man wissen, dass es sich bei diesem Spiel hier um die Umsetzung eines Brettspiels handelt. Es ist daher kein "geistiger Nachfolger" zu Emergency, Fire Department oder ähnliches. Ich mag das Brettspiel, auf deutsch übrigens "Flash Point: Flammendes Inferno" sehr gerne. Das Computerspiel hier setzt die Mechaniken aus dem Brettspiel gut handhabbar für den Computer um und wertet das ganze noch mit einem ansprechenden, leicht niedlichen Grafikstil auf. Hat schon was, wenn im Haus wirklich ein loderndes Feuer flackert und nicht nur ein Plättchen auf dem Spielbrett liegt. Das hier die Brandausbreitung nicht mit realen Würfeln ausgewürfelt werden muss, bringt den Vorteil, dass das Spielfeld nicht viereckig sein muss und daher auch Häuser im Spiel enthalten sein können, die es in der Brettspielvorlage nicht gibt. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad ist wie im Brettspiel variabel (es unterscheidet sich wie viel Feuer und Gefahrstoffe zu Beginn auf dem Feld sind) und kann sehr anspruchsvoll sein. Schade ist, dass es keinen Online-Multiplayermodus gibt, da der Sinn von Brettspielen doch sein sollte, dass man sie mit anderen zusammen spielen kann. Allerdings unterstützt das Spiel Steam Remote Play Together, wodurch man mit einer entsprechend guten Internetverbindung dann doch mit seinen Freunden zusammen spielen kann. Den einzigen Verbesserungsvorschlag, den ich momentan habe ist, dass man leider nicht sieht, welche Level man schon erfolgreich abgeschlossen hat, da von Anfang an alle freigeschaltet sind. Das würde das Gefühl von Fortschritt vermitteln. Schön wäre natürlich, wenn die Inhalte aus den Erweiterungen des Brettspiels auch ihren Weg in die Videospielumsetzung finden würden.

TL;DR As much fun as the board game, remote play bugged, parsec worked great. Had a lot of "Input invalid error" on remote play with a friend until we finally tried using parsec. Game worked great and were able to finish both training houses and board game houses. UI controls are a little clumsy but easy to adapt and learn. Higly recommend for anyone who enjoys co-op board games. Hope this helps people in the future.

Das Spiel nicht zu empfehlen fiel mir schwer. Ich spiele das Brettspiel seit locker 10 Jahren und bin schwer begeistert. Jetzt habe ich es vor kurzem entdeckt, es funktioniert zu 99% wie das Gesellschaftsspiel und es macht sehr viel Spaß - aber... ...es hat einen wirklich nervigen Fehler. So passiert es gerne mal, dass immer wieder die gleiche Figur an die Reihe kommt und alle anderen ignoriert werden. Das geschieht dann auch noch nach dem Neustart und dadurch sah ich mich gezwungen, diesen Text hier zu schreiben. Und nun das 1% - welches die 100%ige Umsetzung verhindert: Das Wechseln von Spezialisten funktioniert nur auf einem der beiden Felder des Löschfahrzeugs - was allerdings nicht so erklärt wird (und im Brettspiel auf beiden Feldern funktioniert). Wenn es (hoffentlich) ein Patch gibt, dass diese Probleme behebt, ändere ich meine Rezension umgehend.
