First Odium

The hook in this game hearkens back to the days of old and scratches that nostalgic itch while providing something strangely new and original.

I feel like this game succeeds in delivering feelings that aren't fun. While that doesn't make it traditionally good (whatever that means) you can say it succeeded in delivering an experience wholly it's own. I was intrigued, confused, and annoyed at points throughout playing. I would say the game play experience feels very aimless. You explore "dungeons" to find keys to unlock more "dungeons" until you run out of dungeons. I feel like there was this very esoteric nature to the game. That drove me to play it and was exemplified by these feelings the game created. The game however is very rough and not in an good way. I mean I got used to it and it usually didn't get in the way of playing the game. When it comes to the traditional ways of measuring a game such as game play, narrative, and polish. I'd say it fails at these. But if you are interested in weird games that no one knows about. Go ahead, there's literally no one else on the internet telling you not to.

Haven't gotten very far into the game, but for my first hour and a half it has been quite a unique experience. The combat system, the unsettling enviroments and designs plus its soundtrack/ sound fx make it quite a dark, but beautiful adventure. Looking forward to playing it more and trying out other games from this developer. It is intriguing and interesting for sure!

Голый человечек в трусах и белой хоккейной маске бесцельно слоняется по локации сильно напоминающей преисподнюю, попутно давя скелетообразных и паукообразных монстров. Геймплей реализован в виде классической JRPG с исковерканными названиями команд. Слева и справа есть проходы к двум боссам, которые крайне быстро с человечком расправляются. После скучнейшего наворачивания кругов по тесной локации, с целью нафармить побольше уровней и аптечек, человечек докачался до 7 уровня. Боссы стали расправляться с ним уже не так быстро, поэтому один раз человечек продержался целых 7 минут, однообразно тыкая злого большого скелета и исправно потребляя аптечки. Когда же аптечки закончились, песенка человечка оказалась спета. А игра навсегда удалена с компьютера.

эта игра это fear and hanger для бедных, плюсы игра риально страшная (в плохом смысле) минуси много гринда
