FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

This is another in a long list of MMOs that makes all the wrong decisions to pad out the game time. For how insanely long this game is the dungeons are too few and far between. Not that the dungeons are good anyways because every single piece of content in this game is mind-numbingly easy. This is a turn your brain off and press the buttons for 300 hrs kind of game. You don't even need to think about what buttons to press either because the game literally highlights what abilities to use in which order so your brain will rarely come into play here. Beyond the combat being easy a vast majority of this game is traveling through a boring, lifeless world to talk to a character who then gives you a task to travel to another town to talk to another character. Guess what that character wants you to do? Travel to another town and talk to another character. The dialogue is actually pretty well written, it's just the VOLUME of it and lack of substance. In the 33 hrs I've played there was ONE interesting story event that actually surprised me. Then the game immediately went back to being boring again. The few good moments this game has to offer are buried under mountains of monotony. they were clearly focused on making sure the game has "lots of stuff" without any consideration for the quality or what joy the player might even get out of it. The combat is repetitive, unchallenging and treats you like a widdle baby, and the story never knows when to shutup and seems to drag on endlessly just to fill time. I like many have always wanted a "forever game" where I can live and occupy a world with other real players and watch my character grow over time, but I don't think this game is it for anyone. but hey I hear it gets good after 100 hours! So if you haven't died of boredom by then maybe it'll get better? maybe?

un excelente MMO vengo de completar la free trial me compre el juego completo hace unos días me ha gustado lo malo que hay pagar cada mes no es un hobby nada barato y lastimosamente esta ingles aunque no tengo problemas en jugarlo en ingles a veces puede ser frustrante el que no entiende y si van comprar el juego aprovechar las rebajas que esta aprox a 30$ con el juego base y dawntrail es la ultima expansión y por ultimo si son nuevos jueguen la free trial no se compren el juego hasta llegar shawdowbringer es la ultima expansión de la free trial

La MSQ (quêtes principales) oblige à tout refaire depuis le début, sans le moindre raccourci. Je suis revenu après plusieurs années d'absence et j'ai passé plus de 50 heures à enchaîner des quêtes FedEx sans intérêt. Et je précise que ces 50 heures ont été réalisées en passant absolument toutes les cinématiques et tous les dialogues. Je n'ose même pas imaginer le temps nécessaire en jouant normalement. C'est interminable, fastidieux et, surtout, complètement inutile. Pourquoi ? Parce qu'après plus de 50 heures de MSQ, je n'ai même pas atteint la première extension. Le jeu en compte aujourd'hui cinq. Autrement dit, pour accéder au contenu actuel et profiter de la dernière mise à jour, il faut d'abord subir des centaines de quêtes obsolètes et débloquer une quantité de contenu qui n'a plus aucun intérêt. Le jeu impose un marathon artificiel avant d'autoriser l'accès à ce qui fait réellement vivre le MMO aujourd'hui. Dernier avertissement : si vous jouez à un rythme normal/détendu, prévoyez probablement plusieurs mois d'abonnement avant d'atteindre le contenu le plus récent. Vous paierez donc pendant des semaines, voire des mois, simplement pour rattraper votre ♥♥♥♥♥♥. A TRUE NIGHTMARE FOR NEW PLAYERS AS WELL AS VETERANS RETURNING AFTER A LONG BREAK ! The Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) forces you to replay everything from the very beginning, with absolutely no meaningful shortcuts. I came back after several years away from the game and ended up spending over 50 hours doing nothing but mindless fetch quests. And to be clear, those 50 hours were spent skipping every single cutscene and every line of dialogue. I can't even imagine how long it would take someone who actually wants to follow the story. It's painfully long, repetitive, and, above all, completely unnecessary. Why? Because after more than 50 hours of MSQ, I still hadn't even reached the first expansion. The game now has five expansions. In other words, if you want to experience the current content and the latest patch, you first have to grind through hundreds of outdated quests and unlock content that has long since become irrelevant. The game forces you through an artificial marathon before you're finally allowed to play the content that the vast majority of the community is actually enjoying. One final warning: depending on how much time you can dedicate to the game, be prepared to pay for several months of subscription before you finally reach the latest content. You'll be paying month after month just to catch up before you can actually play with everyone else.
