Enjoyed it alot
Decent enough if you've never played the original. But it is fundamentally a betrayal of the original. I was skeptical enough when they'd turned it into three games, but willing to see what they'd cooked up. The combat system feels like a lot of work (on the player's part) for very little payoff. Mashing and sliding through menus and playing with your ATB resource in every little mini-encounter. It's flashy and seems cool, at first. After the 37th hour I just want to put down the controller, I'm done with it. I'm nearly 40, I can't imagine playing another 100 hours of this sh*t when I could play something more fun. The sidequests aren't too egregious, but that's all I can really say for them. What do they add? Nothing. Just more bloat to a narrative that had been tight as it needed to be. Just more items that get discarded in the next game. No progress carries over. When I found out Red XIII is not even playable in this game, I felt extreme disappointment. I looked ahead to see if it gets better .... and ended up seeing that it gets worse. Dyne's suicide was removed. Cid's introduction in the story is completely defanged, turning him from one of the heaviest and most impactful characters to just another Kingdom Hearts-ass "grouchy good guy" NPC who self-describes as a "dashing dragoon". I can't believe these are (some of) the original writers. There's a lot of redeeming stuff here. Some of the expanded scenes I found genuinely hilarious. But I can't in good faith recommend this over the original. FF7 was revolutionary. This is ... just another JRPG. Serviceable enough, but I can't forgive the utter cowardice when it comes to removing the darker or more morally ambiguous elements and replacing it with modern, safety-engaged narrative filler. Utterly spineless rewrite.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is easily one of the greatest games I've ever played. I came for the combat but stayed for the characters and story. Cloud, Tifa, Aerith and Barret feel like real people. I loved how the story slowly grew from fighting Shinra into something much bigger with the Planet, the Cetra, Sephiroth and destiny. The combat is incredible, the soundtrack is phenomenal, and the boss fights are consistently amazing. My only complaints are that the game feels a bit too linear, a few chapters have pacing issues, and I wish the combat showed a little more physical impact. Other than that, I honestly have very little to criticize. It made me care about its world and characters and left me thinking about it long after the credits rolled. 9.5/10

Anlık olarak oyunu yarıda bırakmaya karar verdim. Oyun gerçekten güzel sepirothuda merak ediyorum ama areith salagını eklediklerinden beri keyif alamıyorum chapter 8e kadar ağzımın suları aka aka acaba şimdi ne olacak diye oynarken sonrasında yine nasıl uzatacaklar diye oynamaya basladım yok yani ne gerek vardı güzelim oyunu yarım bırakmak zorunda kaldım o kadar epic sahnelerden sonra areithin yanına düşmek bu oyunda yaşadığım en kötü deneyim oldu ne güzel gezegenin kaderi sephirothun cloudenin aklını yoklaması ve kendini merak ettirmesi barretle olan çoğu diyologun kahkaha attırması falan darken oyun akıp gidiyodu areithi yanıma aldııgımdan beri oyun neşesini kaybetti çok üzülerek yarım bırakıyorum chapyer 9-10a (büyük ihtimalle 2 3 chapter daha böyledir) sabrınız varsa kesinlikle oynayın şimdi hikayeyi ytden izleyeceğim maalesef
Oof. Where to start? Bottom line up front: I feel like the game didn't respect my time. They took a two-hour demo and dragged it out into a 40+ hour mess. Maps were janky, it was completely linear, bosses has terrible mechanics that couldn't kill me, but could make the fight 30 minutes long. Decisions were made based on aesthetics rather than gameplay. Stupid Quick-time-events every 30 steps, weird ways to traverse the overworld, and a camera that rivals Super Mario 64 in how bad it is. I had high hopes and only paid $10 while this was on sale, but still feel like my time could better have been used elsewhere.
I love how cinematic the game is. It's very story driven and doesn't leave a whole lot of room for exploration which I think actually plays pretty well into how gridlocked the sectors in Midgar are. After playing around 10 hours of rebirth I think I enjoy the gameplay loop of this game more than the open world direction. I understand why rebirth is open world but the city of Midgar is so interesting, wish we got to explore all the sectors. I really like how up close the camera is to the characters really makes the models stand out. The game runs great and looks great. ps. I HATE PROJECT CONDOR!!
15 hour game stretched to 40 hours with slow walking, bridge crossing, gap squeezing, etc.
