Better than the FF6 Remake Yes, there are some chapters which are just a railroad tunnel/dungeon. But there are other chapters which put you into an OPEN WORLD MAP! THIS! I want more of this in the next FF game!

Originally played this on PS5, replaying it now on steam. Its a long game if you do everything. • The game ran flawlessly, no hiccups, bugs or crashes. I did use an ultrawide mod and i still think its absolutely ridiculous that the game doesnt natively have UW. • LOVE the characters, design and voice actors. They did a phenomenal job. This game also did a better job with NPC's vs remake where the NPC's were much lower quality imo. • Other than some shading/shadow issues, the game looks beautiful. Feels very fluid too. • If its not going to be turn based, this is the next best thing and is easily the best variation of this type of gameplay. I really enjoyed the synergy moves in this game. There were awesome and it really added alot to the combat. I hate Cait Sith so i never used him, but everyone else is great to play as. So many great party setup and combo's available. • Im not a fan at all of the multiverse. Even on my second playthrough, im still kind of confused by it. Im not a purist, so im okay if they wanted to make some story changes, but i dont like the whispers and i dont like the multiverse. At this point, it better have a big payoff in Revelation. • Chadley... Easily the most annoying thing in the game. I seriously hope Diamond Weapon stomps on him in Revelation. He is so annoying and bombards you constantly throughout the game. I skip his dialog almost every time he calls. • Filler and mini games. I know you dont have to do it all, but im the type of gamer that does. Half of the mini games were dumb AF and they had way too many of them. I did really enjoy Queensblood though, best card game since FF8's Triple Triad. They also overpadded the regions with repeat filler content which i didnt really love. Its a cheesy way to get an extra 20+ hours out of you. While i love the game, it got old redoing the same filler stuff for each region. I do GREATLY appreciate the streamlined progression menu. I used the max damage on mini games since i didnt really care about most of them. • The materia system is still great and its an improvement over the options available in remake. My review may have seemed more negative than positive, but dont get me wrong. This game is fantastic and easily one of the best games of the last several years. Really looking forward to part 3 next spring.
so obsessed with this franchise but dont play the piano on keyboard that was traumatic
