FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH

I wanted this game to be good. After the first installment of disappointment, I was hoping for the "Open World" portion to really save this "remake". It didn't. I couldn't even finish it. It's so boring and just doesn't make you want to keep playing or even open the game again after you turn it off for the day. I don't think I'll ever finish this game. If you do want to play the game wait for it to be on 50%+ off sale.

So look, if you're nostalgic, this is FINE. It's very pretty, but it's not a great game, it's boring to play. It's nosta;gia that makes this.

かつてプレイしたFF7のリメイクと思ってプレイしたら大間違いでした。グラフィックはきれいだけどフィールドが歩きにくいことこの上ないマップはあってもないようなもので、戦闘も難しいと感じた。みなさん言われているがとにかくミニゲームを強要される場面が多すぎる。これが物凄くストレスでテンポを悪く感じさせる。 もう最後はもうダレきってしまってブースト全部オンで駆け足で無理くりクリアしたかんじです。ストーリーもほんとに難しくて誰が死んでて誰が生きてるのかも異意味不明なかんじ[spoiler]ここまで原作を無茶苦茶にするならアリエス生存で良かったと思う。死ぬところだけは忠実にしたみたいだけど、[/spoiler]なにしろ自分はあのFF7のリメイクをやってたのか？？と思うような感想でした。FF7に強いこだわりがなければスルー安定です。やるにしてもセールが来てからで十分だとおもう。

Thumbs mid. This game is truly slog with awful combat and a terrible open world. the tasks are bad and reptitive. the story is what you'd expect, I hope the third one improves on everything. I dont see how you could enjoy this combat.

Story is good, but the gameplay is horrible. It is just constant mini-games after mini-games. The mini-games also don't feel like they fit into the story at all, they are just arcade games or theme park attractions used as filler. Also, while you can skip vast majority of the mini-games, there are still plenty of required mini-games left. So much so that I dropped the game before finishing it.

holy moly, literally everything about this game sucks. The combat is okay sometimes. Literally everything inbetween the fights feels like I'm being punished for supporting the devs. My fault. The tutorial is you vacuuming your childhood dreams into a dirtdevil the size of my eyes when I heard this game was being remade. What a joke. ♥♥♥♥ this game. I wish I had remembered to shut my PC down so I could refund it. What an affront to everything that Final Fantasy meant to the people that grew up with it. ♥♥♥♥ used to matter. It's so wild to just take one of the only cool things that people ever made and turn it into whatever you wanna call this. I'm so sorry to everyone who grew up w 7. You deserved better.

The visuals and music are great but the game goes out of its way to slow you down with tedious repetitive activities or minigames. The padding feels like they were trying to hit a minimum playtime requirement to justify doing 3 parts. Would love for there to be one master copy with the OG's pacing but Remake series visuals + story.

So. Many. Bugs. Some might be related to my specs, but many players seem to have similar errors. Games crashing with "fatal error" or no message at all frequently. Game getting stuck and no input possible anymore. Strange stutter errors, for instance the character walks forward and then is set back again, resulting in a "walking stutter". Some errors like this can be fixed by opening and closing the menu repeatedly. Textures and models not being visible for minutes. Also, extreme filler content with endless boring Ubisoft-like sidequests and unnecessary boring dialogues with NPCs, long boring cutscenes, slow walks to the next cutscene and so on. Lots of stuff changed from the original, often in silly ways. Music is great and visuals (if the models and textures are all loaded) are nice. Could have been so great, but it is just ok-ish. The first part of the remake was much better imho. If you are a big fan and/or you have lots of time you don't know what to do with, maybe buy it on a sale. but expect being let down in multiple regards.
