9.5 My only dislike the amount of required mini games. They all are fine just optional.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this game and at this point I do not think they will make it better. There is a fantastic game somewhere in there, however the shader/texture issues are some of the worst i have ever seen. I played around an hour before i realized that the game isn't supposed to be so dark i cannot see anything. While i am not a huge fan of mini-games in general, these are some of the worst i have played. Vincent not playable. I could go on. Technical issues and questionable design decisions aside, If you do still want to keep playing, a word of advice, do not do the "follow the hooded men" side quest. You need the patience of the gods to do the entire quest.
I've played a decent amount of this on my ps5, but wanted some better visuals. I figured my PC should be able to at least get a decent 60fps. No. No it does not. The game runs terribly. There is no nice way to put it. Constant stutters, basically unwatchable cutscenes. I tried the remedies and performance mods, and it's just stone cold unplayable. Regular 1%s in the tens of fps out of nowhere. No amount of running around an area and trying to get the shaders to cache helps. I bought this game for 20 bucks and am hoping to get a refund. Extremely disappointing on a technical level. Buy, but make sure you are ready to get your refund. It's bad.
This game is so poorly optimised for PC. Don't buy it if you're sensitive to frame stuttering.
Remake was fine apart from the ending and whole fates idea. Rebirth on the other hand I regret buying. For graphics there's loads of pop in for the open world, and on AMD cards some textures randomly turn black. For audio the game assumes you're using a surround sound system and if you're not you won't be able to hear anyone talking behind you. It's overloaded with minigames, most of them annoying. The open world feels like an Ubisoft checklist system of just doing the same things in each region. Combat's around the same as in Remake, with the Synergy system reminding me a bit of dual techs in Chrono Trigger. The game just isn't fine tuned enough and is made to be mainly a bunch of filler so they can stretch out FF7 into three games. I bought it and Remake as a package together for 40$, 20$ was worth it for Remake, but not for Rebirth.
I enjoy the story line of the game, even though they changed and f'd up some of it and didn't allow for the saving of some characters. However, some dumb arse seemed to think that annoying and agrevating minigames all over the damned place which are a super pain in the arse was a good idea, not to mention most of them have to do with chocobo racing or flying or some other igit way of travel to explore regions. Who ever came up with the cosmo canyon area and how to traverse it should be shot, more than once. If you can't enjoy a base game fully because some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ decided to fill it with annoying travel, minigames, and other bs that distracts from the story and basic game play then you are falling short. On a side note, which ever idiot decided to change the temple and forest quest lines to shorten them into a butt load of annoying cutscenes, story changes, and scripted bs they need to pike off. The whole end of this section of the game was rushed and half arsed. So, regardless of the multiple world bs, you still can't save your avalanche buds, or aerith, etc. So, why put all that garbage in it?
While i liked the game and i recommend it, there are some serious issues that anyone needs to be aware of before buying. More below. But first the positives: -Excellent story and characters -The world, graphics and art direction -Gameplay is solid and combat is good too -Music is excellent, as it always is with FF franchise. Now the negatives: -Optimization is an utter disaster, the game has massive stuttering issues, that can only be fixed with mods. Now it can be fixed as i said, but expecting player to go around and do the developers work for them is unnaceptable. The game is also quite demanding to run, while i run it in 1440p/dlaa/max with rtx5080 and got 120fps (i set that as limit) for most of the game, i noticed drops to 90fps in grasslands, that area is the most demanding and it exposes further optimization issues. - Second issue in my opinion is the open world concept for this game, allow me to elaborate. The game has excellent main quest, however the game is riddled with countless minigames, so imagine you got some tense moment with some fight at the end of the chapter and finding something out, then you get several hours of pointless minigames etc. - it destroys the pacing of the story. The best way to play the game i think is to just ignore all, except the main quest and just do everything else after you beat the story, if you feel like it. I decided to leave a positive review because i liked the story and characters a lot, but it was a close call really. Those optimization issues and stuttering are BAD without any mods.
nice
장점 : 전투재밌음 그래픽좋음 단점 : 미니게임 좀 많긴함
大世界做的一般,不过各种小游戏没听说的那么恶心,玩起来挺爽的。
