I really enjoyed this game, the story it is connecting from the first to the third. Its a good story. MY two critices are Gongaga and blocking during combat: Gongaga, on a chocabo feels very difficult to navigate and there are so many ledges i can NOT jump off with the birds... come on, I think i spent 45 mins + hunting down the right jumping flower to access the south western region of the map. The second and more frusterating is blocking, coming from FF16 straight into this one, the combat is much different; however one thing ff16 got perfect was blocking and dodging, in FF7 It feels like there is a 1-2 second warm up which in the world of a boss fight is an eternity and you are already dead. I found myself only dodging and when a big attack was coming i didnt have time to block and could not dodge, I would switch characters in the party because THE GAMES AUTO FIGHT COMPANIONS BY DEFAULT COULD BLOCK WHEN I COULDNT. Idk i played for 90 hours and couldnt dial it in but the way I described got me through the toughest bosses. It took me 70 hours to get to Vincent Valentine. 70 hours. seventy hours. I spent getting to his cut scene. I got this game purely for him. Ha! Silly of me. But over the past 40 hours I spent on Remake and 70 hours in Rebirth I have really loved this game as well as many other characters. But yeah its freaking long. I still have 3 more chapters to go, but now I have my prize ! <3

The grander sense of adventure in this second part of the FF7 Remake trilogy is overwhelmingly good. There's still a little bit of bloat, but SE seems to have worked mini games and exploration out in Rebirth. And the few changes made from the original game from 1997 are intriguing enough to set Rebirth apart from that. General note: I've played this already on PS5 - the game ran at a more stable frame rate, but it looks a lot better on PC.

Following FF7 Remake, Rebirth can feel a bit overwhelming. There’s a lot of padding, with mini-games and side content that can take far too long to complete. That said, the story is captivating and was what kept me going. While there’s some cringe-worthy dialogue and questionable character choices, I don’t think they take away from the overall experience. If you enjoyed Remake and want to continue the story, I’d definitely recommend Rebirth. Can’t wait for Revelation!
