It's a fun game. Nice graphics, smooth gameplay. A bit difficult for me personally but I'll put that down to skill issue.

Overall a decent-good game with some enjoyment. One thing I highly recommend for a change in this game is for you to be able to skip the last platforming stage when you complete it, so you can just jump straight into the boss fight. Reason is because if you failed to beat the boss then decide you will beat it later, well then you have to go through that painful platforming level again to reach the boss. The boss fight is technically separate from the platforming level, so that is why I recommend it. I wish there was a sound effect when you fall down off the stage and maybe a sound/voice effect when you lose all of your health points. Only con in this game, is that the cannons shoots too fast for my liking, it's hard to dodge them in certain areas of the levels. I'm honestly surprised that I completed all of the levels except for the boss fight. (I would like to give the boss another go, but I am most likely not going to play the last platforming level again just to get there.) Game is free and it's worth to give it a try.
Great game
Thousands of retro 2D platformers are infesting Steam, and "Fiend Heart" is just more pollution in a crowded market of terrible games. There are over 17,000 platformers on Steam, literally thousands (you can go see for yourself if you search for the platformer tag on the store, I'm not kidding). And this is far from being one of the best of those. This is a pretty mediocre platformer, it's short and doesn't have much going for it to the point I thought maybe it's a joke game or something? Anyway the subject is a red haired vampire girl who has to do some platforming, with the objective of talking to a house guest at the end of each of the seven levels. Yeah, this is a terrible hook for a game. The platforming genre is pretty much obsolete... just a tiny number of professionally developed platformers exist on PC and offer any real value or interest to gamers (Silksong, etc). This is nowhere near being as good as Hollow Knight or Silksong. Even without a price tag, it's easy to see why gamers ignored this in favor of modern, professionally developed 3D games. This is offering nothing new or interesting, so it's easy to see why this failed. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. Visually, this features mediocre hand drawn style "Baby's First Wacom Tablet" art instead of contemporary graphics. This obviously looks better than pixelcrap, but that's a really low bar to barely stumble over. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks worse than a professionally made game would look, and that's a major deterrent. On the important matter of pricing and value for gamers, there's a lot going on here with monetisation, so this really shouldn't be considered a truly free product because of that. They have their hand out for a $10 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money from buying empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. A peak of 11 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
really fun game even if it was pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at times i enjoyed the final boss fight a lot!
its dope, but running this game hitless would be an absolute nightmare
