Feywing is a short game loosely inspired by classic internet ritual stories. You must memorize and navigate the strange environment of the Crossroads to collect materials for the ritual, and escape the Crossroads. During all of this, the whimsical Feywing will be there to guide you along.

Alright so if you want me to be honest the game is not that great, You walk around gathering some things and then bringing the things to another thing which makes the game kinda boring and when mixed with this one bug that does not have key items spawn you basically cannot do jack about it. The settings do not have an actual page with settings and the enemies are a bit of a gimmick but you can get used to it also there's no pausing which is really annoying but I believe the game has great potential its just that the game needs to be fixed up I enjoyed the character and the story although I did not get the ending but most of the game gave me idea's on what could be done. Spoilers ahead _______________________________ |_________|Stupid rant about how the game\ ________/_____and how it can be improved\ So how the game works so during the day you need to grab materials for effigies then during the night you need to put them on an alter while listening out and looking out for bushes and tree's because they are the enemies which if I am going to be honest it is stupid but depending on your actions you get a different ending. So here are some changes that hypothetically could help the game. First off we need to talk about the fey in the room, Feywing or what I call him Marcetia or just Marce the problem with Marce is that he does not do much which when he is the name of the game he really needs a role for the game. *ⁿᵒᵗᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ⁿᵃᵐᵉ ᴹᵃʳᶜᵉ ᶦˢ ᶠʳᵒᵐ ᵗʰᵉ ʷᵒʳᵈ ᴹᵃʳᶜᵉˢᶜᵉⁿᶜᵉ Here is what I would have Marce do first of all there's this one open stump that is perfect for his size and I believe you could have him trade things with the player like he has a burrow within this stump where he can create something like a potion. This leads me with the second part the player should have more things to do during the day one idea I had is for players to mark tree's with a fertilizer that would take effect during night when used on a tree that is a alive mushrooms would grow on them slowing them down permanently. Ah right also there should be a map that is premade because random generation can be screw up the entire and lead to people restart again and again and causes less problems then random generation.

"Feywing" is what a game would be like if it was just a cardboard cutout of a real game. You wander around a dimly lit, probably asset flipped/kitbashed environment, doing very simple fetch quests while a bird follows you around. Shallow doesn't begin to describe it. What's the game about? Well, according to the developer, Feywing is an adventure game inspired by internet ritual stories. Navigate the "Crossroads", a strange and dangerous liminal space, to collect materials and create effigies needed for the Feywing ritual. Guided by the Feywing, players must memorize landmarks in a procedurally generated map (ugh, Procgen is NOT an ok substitute for doing the job of a game developer and creating content) to find a way to escape (I guess the developer couldn't work out how to do a map). That's rather misleading to say the least... it's just lame fetch quests. Almost but not quite the diametrical opposite of fun. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $3 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The first thing the developer wants everyone to know is that they are "The Main Character". You, as a gamer, don't matter. They breach Valve guidelines for developers just to complain about a fully accurate and informative review (with facts their ego doesn't like). It's evident from their attitude that they never created this product with gamers in mind. They did so to stroke their own ego. When developers, especially failed ones who would never be able to get a professional job in the industry, put themselves before gamers, we end up with garbage products like this. That explains how this trash ended up on Steam, but it doesn't excuse it. At least we finally got to meet The Main Character, and nobody else matters. Hiring an artist then failing this hard at the job of game development is a remarkable level of incompetence, and the developer admits that this product simply isn't good enough to be published on Steam and should have been removed. But they won't because they are THE MAIN CHARACTER The developer knows this is polluting Steam and it's garbage, but they insist it remain as a testament to their own ego, and the pollution it causes, junk that gamers have to avoid and genuine amateur developers who do the right thing have to compete with. This is absolutely harmful, but remember, the developers ego is far more important than you or anyone else. This self-centered, arrogant attitude is disgusting, but it explains so much how such a godawful product that should never have been published ended up on Steam. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this failure to anyone.
Fun little game where you try to figure out how to unlock secret endings.
