The Single Shotgun loaded with 20 gauge slugs is an absolutely goated weapon that's available right from the start of the game. It and its ammo costs peanuts, normal 20 gauge rounds can be made into slugs very easily, it has the second lowest weapon spread of any shotgun, the skill and strength requirements are negligible, there are no silly mods to collect, it does more damage per shot than a .44 magnum trail carbine that requires 75 guns skill and costs thousands of caps, all the shotgun perks only enhance its efficacy, and its pinpoint accurate out to render distance Yall are sleeping on this weapon
