Faded Memories: Video Game Edition

To understand the incredible effort these developers put into this game with limited resources, you have to know their story. The primary developer behind "Vasi Games" had a vision to game-ify his classroom by generating a game he could have his students play that asked them content related questions as they played. Much of the coding, art and design of the game came from former high school students of his that mostly volunteered their time to contribute to this project's completion. He is well loved at his school, regularly sacrificing his own lunch periods to host students of all grade levels as they play and challenge each other to various video games on his classroom projector. To put it simply, the developer believes that there is no reason why school cannot bridge the gap between hard work and fun, and this is witnessed by the sheer number of students that return well after graduation to see him. I am a colleague of his at his place of work. I helped test this game briefly before its release. Supporting this developer by picking up this game is a nod to the hard work he and his former students put in to this project, and for me, that was a no-brainer. It is my belief that any person that appreciates the time, work, energy and love it takes to see a project like this through to completion will be impressed by this game created by some dedicated students and their teacher, and they will enjoy the charm and artwork along the way. These guys may have played a lot of video games but this game is proof that, for sure, they cannot make one. Childish understanding of what makes a good game combined with unappealing mix-and-match graphics, badly told plot, awful controls (A, F, Space and Arrow Keys), almost funny sound effects and grunts, weird BG music choices and hit detection... it's kinda there. Trivia questions are either guess work or very easy depending on if you have played the game in the question, rarely there is a middle ground. If you are under 20yo there's very little chance that you have heard about Donkey Kong Rap or Monkey Island. Also I don't know what the material of Capain America's shield has to do with the video games.

I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can't believe how magical it was. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially when you got to wave around the wand that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can't forget the conclusion. im definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply.
