Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 1 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Factory pirates is a peculiar indie title built around an idea that sounds almost like several different games combined into one. Instead of delivering a conventional pirate adventure focused entirely on ships, treasure, and naval battles, it places players in a strange pirate-themed restaurant operation where customers request items that must be obtained from the surrounding world. Developed by WhackAKey Games and published by Conglomerate 5, the game embraces experimentation over refinement, mixing exploration, action, puzzle solving, item hunting, and cooperative play into a deliberately unconventional experience. The customer request system provides the foundation for most of the gameplay. A request that initially sounds simple can quickly turn into a sequence of interconnected objectives. A customer might want a particular creature or object, only for the player to discover that reaching it requires entering an inaccessible location. Opening the path could require another tool, which then has to be located elsewhere. This creates a chain of small problems that encourages exploration rather than simply pointing players directly toward the final objective. There is a satisfying scavenger-hunt quality to figuring out which items are needed and where they can be used. Exploration consequently becomes one of the more interesting aspects of the experience. The environment is not merely scenery surrounding the restaurant, but a space containing objects, obstacles, enemies, and locations connected to customer requests. The game mixes this exploration with first-person action and environmental problem solving, although none of these systems are particularly deep on their own. Factory pirates works better when viewed as a collection of simple mechanics supporting its unusual central concept rather than as a dedicated shooter, survival game, strategy title, or management simulator. Online cooperative play adds another dimension to the formula. Players can work alongside friends while searching for requested objects and dealing with whatever obstacles stand between them and their objectives. The somewhat chaotic structure can actually suit multiplayer well because coordinating unusual errands becomes part of the entertainment. Single-player remains available, but cooperative play has the potential to make the game's rougher qualities easier to overlook, especially when the enjoyment comes from discovering its strange situations together rather than mastering sophisticated mechanics. There is also a modest progression system tied to earning money. Currency can be retained and used to purchase cosmetic improvements for the player's pirate, providing some persistence between activities. These rewards do not transform the game into a deep RPG or equipment-driven progression experience, but they give players an additional reason to continue completing tasks. Character customization also makes more sense within the multiplayer component, where cosmetic changes can help distinguish one player's pirate from another. The game's biggest weakness is that its broad mixture of ideas comes at the expense of depth and polish. Its action, exploration, strategy, and restaurant elements never develop into individually complex systems, and players expecting a substantial simulation or polished first-person adventure may find the experience fairly basic. The visual and mechanical presentation also reflects the scale of a small experimental indie production. Its strength is therefore less about technical sophistication and more about how unusual its concept is. There simply are not many games built around running a pirate restaurant while embarking on bizarre scavenging expeditions to satisfy customer requests. Steam Deck compatibility is officially Unverified, meaning there is no confirmed Valve compatibility rating guaranteeing that every aspect of the game works properly on the handheld. Given its age and PC-focused design, players intending to use a Steam Deck should be prepared for possible control, interface, performance, or configuration adjustments rather than assuming a completely seamless handheld experience. Factory pirates ultimately feels like an eccentric experiment that prioritizes originality over refinement. Its interconnected customer requests provide the most memorable part of the design, turning ordinary errands into miniature adventures involving exploration and problem solving. Cooperative play and cosmetic progression give the concept additional substance, but limited mechanical depth prevents it from becoming a particularly strong example of any genre it touches. For players who enjoy obscure indie projects and unconventional multiplayer concepts, there is some genuine novelty here. Those expecting a polished pirate adventure or elaborate management simulator will likely find the experience considerably more limited. Rating: 5/10
