Honestly fire
This game was a surprising little gem, and for only 2$ its such a steal. I found myself dancing along to the original soundtrack, very catchy!
This game is very fun

pretty fun! even though it's a looter and pretty grindy, it reminded me a bit of the simple combat of the bump style Ys games. the artstyle is charming, especially the main character sprites. some songs were also suprisingly atmospheric, like the ones that play in the swamp and icy areas. the lack of shiny visuals for upgrading stuff and opening loot actually turns this into a less compulsive experience than other games of the subgenre. it really does seem like a game made for the love of the grind (and it's not so long as to get really hardcore). there are a few little quality of life features that i'd suggest (2024 UPDATE: these were all implemented! the last boss didn't even need any changes, that was just a question i had): - more increments to upgrading equipment. between the 1 and MAX settings it'd be nice to see an option to upgrade 10 or 100 armor levels in a row so i can balance health and damage without clicking 1000 times like a maniac for the late game equipment. - a separate volume setting for the music - maybe that's just me being bad at the game, but i feel like the final 2 bosses' attacks are a little too fast to even understand how to dodge them. if they're meant to damage you all the time without dodge windows, that's fine, but some clarity that that is the case would still be cool. that's it! hope to see more games from this dev :>
