I thought this was gonna be another corruption style novel with a female protagonist, a formula that seems to get more and more popular with AVNs now. But here you actually play as both the guy and the girl and alternate in between them, and while switching between them both every day was a cool idea, it creates this issue where the story just progresses way too fast. You don’t even really get to know any of the characters before days have passed in game and it makes the whole novel feel like it is trying to rush you through it. It really is what ruined this story. But beside that, the writing is also just bad and the story feels really generic. There isn’t really any creativity here and it delivers nothing we haven’t already seen a million times. The animations and overall scene quality is also pretty disappointing and then there is this other small issue with the text dialogue going outside the screen when the sentences are too long, literally cutting off the last words. I got like an hour and a half into the story and then decided not to finish it. I’m quite confident that it isn’t going to improve much later into the novel. [b] Exploring the Big Apple [/b] - это история о супружеской паре, которая приехала из провинции в Нью-Йорк, а именно, он работать программистом, она учиться на журналиста. С самого начала игра предлагает выбрать режим, играть только за мужского персонажа или за обоих. Если только за мужского, увидеть весь контент не получится, да и вообще мне кажется, что задумка как раз и была в том, что мужским персонажем мы принимаем решения, а женским видим последствия этих решений и как глубоко мы себя опускаем. Почему именно опускаем, потому что вся игра построена вокруг темы "Куколда" и немного "МЖМ", поэтому данная игра может зайти не всем. Что на себя обращает внимание, так это то, что разработчик не стал делать мужского персонажа ущербным и с маленьким "жужуликом", в связи с чем он не вызывает отвращения. Также надо отметить, что рисовка в игре сделана на хорошем уровне, героиня весьма красивая и запоминающаяся. Практически все сцены в игре с анимациями, конечно не самыми классными, но тем не менее. Если крутить игру через Tab, вы конечно их не увидите, поскольку анимации короткие и перед ними идет небольшая пауза в полсекунды. Концовок в игре 4 (любовь, куколд, МЖМ и разрыв), есть правда на мой взгляд ещё промежуточная, если не докачать по полной шкалу разврата героини, то ты будешь "куколд" на минималках, без клетки для пениса и тотального унижения. Короткой игру также не получается назвать, поскольку на её прохождение у меня ушло 4 часа и ещё чуть больше часа на прохождение остальных концовок и получение всех достижений, итого больше 5 часов, то есть 1 полноценный вечер. Есть в игре и ложка дёгтя, а именно: - игра вероятно сделана на скорую руку, поскольку история в ней как бы есть, но её как бы нет, диалоги героев очень простые, а логика в игре на уровне перевозбужденного подростка; - быстрое и стремительное падение героини, меньше чем за 10 дней она уже готова отдаться, ещё пару дней и она уже сосёт другому и раздвигает ноги; - героиня конечно красивая и вероятно то, что она одна, было задумано разработчиком с самого начала, но разнообразие всегда решает. Из приятного в игре есть русский язык, за что отдельная благодарность разработчику, вопросов к переводу нет, а также 25 достижений Steam. Остального в виде карточек, фонов и смайликов нет. Рекомендовал бы я данную игру, да, но только в том случае, если вам нравится тема "куколдов" или вы просто хотите поиграть во что-то быстрое на один вечер. Цена на игру адекватная, но лучше всё же брать со скидкой. P.S. Играйте только в хорошие игры и получайте от этого удовольствие!

Exploring the Big Apple: It is an adult visual novel about Emma and Patrick, a young married couple moving to New York to start a new chapter in their lives. The idea is fine, and I usually enjoy this type of game when the story and characters click. I also liked FooxiedGames’ other work, especially Steps of Debauchery, but this one did not land the same for me. The story was okay-ish, but I could not really get into it. I also do not really like NTR that much, and if I knew how much that side of the story mattered, I most likely would not have played it. Some routes made the experience worse for me. The second playthrough for the cuck achievement did not work for me emotionally and honestly felt more sad than enjoyable. Even the third “faithful” route still felt way too cheaty, so I struggled to connect with the choices and outcomes. The 100% completion was not fun. The achievement hunting felt frustrating, and the collectibles were one of the worst parts. Some were very hard to see, and in one case it looked like there should have been a collectible, but it was not there. Even with a guide, I ended up guessing around the area until it finally triggered, which was not enjoyable. I would only recommend this to certain adult visual novel fans, especially if you already know you like this kind of relationship drama. For me, it had some okay parts, but the story, routes, collectibles, and 100% completion made it hard to enjoy. Not terrible, just not for me.

[h1]Gameplay[/h1] Shortly after starting a new game you are able to name the main character, Patrick by default. You are also able to name the main character's wife, Emma by default. After the prologue you are given the option to play from both your and Emma's perspectives, or just your perspective. Your choices will affect Emma. If you play the dual perspective option Kilroy will complete his day and then you will experience Emma's day. The way your choices affect Emma is that what you say to her changes what happens in her story line. Emma gains points on a Naughtiness scale, depending on what you say to her. Most of it is giving her permission to do things. This format does however, make things repetitive. First you go through the day as the husband and then the wife, but part of her day is the other side of the husband's. She has some unique content, but also shared content. The story is 26 days long, but there are a couple of times where days are skipped. There are 25 choices to make. These choices will determine which path the story follows. There is a major choice, where you pick which movie you send to your wife. If you want to experience all of the paths, save there. Occasionally you will see a ETBA logo. These are the collectables. This is a design element that I'm not fond of, as it takes you out of the story. There is a guide with all of the locations, so I'd suggest playing through and clicking any that you happen to find, and then use the guide to get them all, so you can focus on the story. Trust me you're going to need guide to find them all, and even then you may need to try a few times. Saves are a two-step process, if you don't use the Save option on the bottom menu. It is a bit confusing, when you hover over a save slot it says Load. The English is okay, there are the obligatory spelling errors and wrong word choices. They fade in an out. The logos are white and so are a lot of objects in the game. There are some inconsistencies with what the characters are called. You're wife's professor is named Matthew Hart, but when he attends Brad Stoker's grand opening Brad refers to him as Mr. Hard, and neither your wife or Matthew corrects him. [h1]The Gallery[/h1] The Gallery is accessed from the title menu. There are three sections to the gallery, Emma's Replays, Patrick's Replays, and Collectibles. Emma has 16 scenes, I unlocked 15 scenes on the sharing path. Patrick also has 16 scenes, and again I unlocked 15 on the sharing path. There are 53 Collectibles to collect, I only grabbed 6 on my playthrough of the sharing path. Most of this is due to my dislike of the design, I only grabbed the very obvious ones. I gave up searching for them as I wanted to pay attention to the story. There is also an in game Gallery of the photos taken by Martin. The unlock for the private folder is clunky. Even after you have the password it doesn't open. You need to wait until the folder is in the upper right corner, then you can access it. All content is optional and the choices are pretty clear on getting your approval for your wife to do on not do different things.
