It's meh at best. Lots of minor bugs that force restart. Magic is hit and miss: literally just decides on its own where to send your spell, meaning you miss more than you hit. Constantly throwing lightning at enemies 2 feet away, and watching it go straight past the enemies into the middle of nowhere is just bad game design. The English seems like a botched Google translate even though it appears to be the main language the game was written in. The game forces you to cheese enemies even though it has an anti cheese auto heal for all enemies. ALL enemies. Crashing upon opening the game happens 1 out of every 20 times. Full screen does not work. Mage character is just not good. Even at level 23, shadows demolish mages, and you really have no recourse besides run away and have companion holy dmg it to death. the game's economy makes absolutely zero sense. It's designed to be as backwards as possible. Example: mana potion that restores 35 mana is 350 gold, but a mana potion that restores 70 mana is 1000 gold. What's the point of even having the 70 mana potion in the game? And this goes for everything in the economy. If it's slightly better, it's going to be double the price. Makes the economy entirely worthless until nearing end game when you have thousands upon thousands of gold and NOTHING to do with it. Could have skipped adding an economy entirely and the game would be no different. Most quests just kinda end without satisfying conclusions. Example: Snake Gang quest ends immediately after helping steal documents. There's no follow up to take down the crooked governor. No follow up to clear the town of baddies. No follow up to even talk to Snake and get any additional details. Extremely disappointed with the lack of proper quests that actually go, well, anywhere. Companions are entirely useless if you're a mage. Everything targets the mage first. And as I mentioned above, the anti cheese system prevents you from running away a) you're slower than everything by a lot & b) they heal the more you run away. and they heal quickly. so many nonsensical decisions add up to one tiring experience. I REALLY wanted to like this game, but has too problems for me to actually have fun with it.
I originally played this game on mobile. The PC experience is definitely better. This game is not for those who want instant gratification, its a slow burn, but my what a burn. The main story is rather simple, but it works, and the worldbuilding is excellent, so much to explore, people to talk to, quests to solve. The quests are a breath of fresh air in a time of markers and pointers. In exiled kingdoms, you have a journal that automatically records key information and thats it, youre left to figure it out on your own, and it works so well. All the classes have a huge range of options, especially when you start getting advanced skills. The mage class is particularly rewarding, but very hard at the beggining, but by endgame it can clear entire dungeons with ease. Play this game like you would play as yourself, dont try to be a hero if you cant win, run, save yourself, build yourself up slowly until you have the confidence to win, and recognize danger (and thers plenty of it) when its there. That being said, risking your life can really benefit when you find some powerful item, some of which are devastating. This game does have a difficulty problem, in that the difficulties are not properly named compared to other games. Story difficulty is actually casual, Casual difficulty is actually normal, and Normal is hard. the hard difficulty is grueling, and The hardest(permadeath), is really just for masochists. Overall I recomend this game, especially if you like CRPG's and action RPG's. Don't play if you only care about graphics, cuz theyre kinda ass, graphics is not the focus of this game, its all about the gameplay.
Enemies respawn extremely quickly despite that the core gameplay loop will have you returning to inns to rest every quarter of a dungeon floor that you explore. Soft level scaling mechanics for areas mean you're generally always outmatched in the early-game. The economy is incredibly inflated, forcing you to grind either enemies, or infinitely repeating RNG quest that feature no markers, direction, or guidance beyond occasional lines of text gleamed by paying money (and even then that's just good enough to learn what MAP you have to go to). Very limited resolution support. A time progression mechanic that forces you to focus on one infinite quest at a time, or ignore the system altogether, greatly limiting available choices in gameplay early on when you are gearless and penniless. Poor control scheme. Its mobile origins are pretty evident in that you're expected to "tap" things on the screen, or otherwise play exclusively with a keyboard. The key bindings are pretty incompatible with mouse usage. For example, movement is arrow keys (Not WASD), looting is Tab. It's a "hard" game in that it is extremely grindy. If you're willing to grind infinitely respawning enemies and quests, then it is easy. If you're not, then it is impossible. And this is just generally un-fun.
Vou regar ele denovo pois nunca enjoo desse pequeno joguinho.
Игра топовая. Видно, что были грандиозные планы на игру, но до конца не реализовали. По сути главный квест выполнить возможно, но не за такие деньги.
Great game. Fantastic story and gameplay loop. Large, expansive open world full of stuff to do. Extremely underrated.
Surprisingly solid RPG despite the clunkyness
