Exes assault is a NSFW BL Bara Comedy Visual Novel developed by Ertal Games. You follow the Cuban MC Jorge - also sometimes referred to as George - as his father tries to get him to change up his lifestyle. From a life full of gay bars, clubs and random hookups Jorge is thrown into a job at a multinational company where he needs to fix up his life. No more recklessness or fun is allowed for him, as he needs to prove his worth to his father in order to inherit his solar panel fitting company. Not only does Jorge need to prove he can work hard at his new job before his birthday, but his father wants him to bring home a real, long-term partner to the birthday dinner. However there’s only one problem - his new job is beset by the presence of four of his exes, including his boss! It seems finally, karma has wrapped back around and he’s face-to-face with some of the people he’s wronged in his past. While not all of them ended badly, the majority did. As of writing this review, there are three of four routes available; Jacob, Gabriel, and Ivaan. -Gabriel Miller. Jorge’s new boss, a tall, handsome man who’s either working hard or working away at the gym. He and Jorge once got together for a little BDSM spice, but there was nothing more than that. This left them with no hard feelings, but there’s a little sexual tension between them that you can definitely enjoy. ;) -Jacob Reyes. Jorge’s new colleague who he’ll be spending a lot of time working with. He’s very focused on perfection, being adamant about having a healthy diet and working out regularly. Ah, and also an ex who he ended badly with. The two were formerly in an open relationship that Jacob wasn’t really okay with, causing both their friendship and relationship to end in an absolute mess. In a former friendship full of bad feelings and painful memories, can you show Jacob you’re worth his forgiveness? He certainly still feels that physical attraction! -Kevin Jones, the office assistant. His route is not out yet, so I haven’t explored too much into the story with Kevin. However, I do know that Jorge also did him wrong, (Shocker, right??) They were apparently once in a relationship but Jorge cheated on him, and Kevin has accused Jorge of cheating with Jacob. This leads to some very interesting interactions in the office while pursuing his arch nemesis, Jacob. -Ivaan Agarwal is last. A man potentially investing in the company, and… also Jorge’s ex, damnit! However, he’s also Jorge’s first love and childhood friend, which makes this a bit harder for the both of them as it’s unavoidable that they’ll interact. Being the boss’s assistant leads him to many interactions with an investor after all. Ivaan seems less bitter about the past than some of the others, but there’s still a lot of space for Jorge to redeem himself for breaking the poor man’s heart. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3283942675 Now a big part of Exes Assault is definitely the NSFW aspect. There are plenty of sexual scenes - and while I cannot recall all of the numbers specifically, I’d average 4-5 per character but not all of them are part of their unique route as there might be a treat in the common route for you to explore. I found the scenes interesting, fun, and pretty hot with some very well done CGs. Alternatively there is also a 15+ version for those who wish to play the game but may not want these scenes in their entirety. There are even some interactive parts where you can use a few things on your partner which was fun! I only experienced one scene like this but I can imagine there could be more added duringearly access. There’s also grunting, breathing, and slapping noises to pair with these scenes. While not at all necessary, I think these were a good addition. I will add that there are some morally grey scenes. Content warning: There are instances of explicit sexual content and scenes that involve non-consensual behaviour, which may be uncomfortable for some viewers. As mentioned - the CGs in Exes Assault are great quality. The NSFW ones have no censoring at all and have full exposure on top of being well drawn. And better yet, there are different versions as things progress as well as plenty of different CG NSFW scenes for you to unlock. The sprites are also fantastic, and even as someone who does not always enjoy Bara style - I found I quite enjoyed the art and men of this one. Both the music and the backgrounds for the game were simple, yet fitting to the overall mood and surroundings. It was fun to experience Jorge suffer for his mistakes and then make up for it in the long run. There were some typos, from grammar to spelling, but I have been informed that the script is currently going through proofreading so hopefully it’ll be in top shape by release. The typos were not too frequent, so if you can deal with that then I’d continue to recommend Exes Assault. Another effect of the game being in early access is that there is, of course, missing content. There is still a route in development (Kevin) and there are a few conversation bits missing, including some lunch conversations and text conversations. In Jacob’s route there are a few repeated texts as placeholders, which will likely be filled with more content. There are also a fair few choices to make in Exes Assault, which in the common route are vital for you to pursue your person of interest. The game has a system where it shows when you get a + to affection, so if you go in without a guide you can use that to your assistance. Some options can also affect later scenes such as a hookup with a character who isn’t your chosen romance target. So on top of the replayability for the routes, there’s also some extra with finding different scenes and dialogues for certain choices. 𓆩♡𓆪 Overall I enjoyed my experience playing Exes Assault! It had quite a good amount of length to it for the first route, taking me about 14 hours. This included a lot of trying different options and exploring. However after that, I found the next route was around 4-5 hours completion as there was plenty I could skip from the common route. Achievements are easy to acquire too, by simply playing through the routes and experiencing the story. It’s fun, yet interesting to see if Jorge can redeem himself and set his life straight while also tapping into the player’s emotions as Jorge follows the love interest he wants. I’d recommend this for anyone who enjoys BL and NSFW visual novels, and also as a great break from some of those more emotional ones. The structure is classic VN: dialogue choices shape relationship routes while the story balances office drama, personal growth, and romance. Replay value appears strong due to the length and distinct routes, and achievement completion will require multiple full playthroughs. 🔥 [b]M/M Content[/b] This is a fully committed MLM visual novel. There is no ambiguity, no baiting, and no “optional” queerness. Jorge and all of his love interests are explicitly and comfortably into men, and the game treats that as normal and central rather than sensational. can't properly say i had properly finish a single route yet, but what i have experienced thus far is generally positive. albeit incomplete due to early access. i enjoy that the game keep me on my toes, a little thing that is unexpected in visual novel but highly appreciated. it is well put together despite early access stage. amazing visual and story thus far. the few things i would like is to be able to temporary allow the entire text bar to disappear/reappear at the gamer's will akin like it's a window if that made sense? moments where it hinders the visual behind at some parts of the story. it blocks the pleasure of fully immerse in the visual journey because the text bar blocks it completely. it would be nice to have a proper vocabulary/grammar check before finalising (including existing available routes), i spot some spelling error here and there, other than that i look forward to the remaining routes completion. especially the polyamory route.

Even for EA period I am very satisfied with this game as another great entry into the bara BL game genre. Only two routes are playable at the moment, but both had their own unique character and charm that plays off of tropes in a way that is fun but still novel enough to be interesting. There is way more cgs than Night and Day and that increases the quality here drastically, and from what I understand more will be added with upcoming updates even beyond what was already in place for the two current routes. I believe that the game will only improve with further updates. Two major problems I had were some of the major side characters did not have sprites or titles and would simple go back Man or Woman. This also extended to some of the place names, where X was used instead of making something up which in my opinion would be much better than just leaving a placeholder. Secondly there are some pretty obvious typos on Ivaan's route in particular, however, I assume these will be fixed with future updates. I would recommend for fans of bara for sure.

I'm not usually into visual novels, but I found this game to be very engaging. I've only done Gabriel's route so far and plan to do the rest at a later time. Although there are some spelling errors, it does not take away from the magic of the dialogue and scenes that are in play. Thank you for letting me live my office fantasy of doing naughty things with my handsome boss.

There aren’t enough VN games with actually eye-pleasing art style on Steam. The game is visually captivating. Even though most of the locations are office environments, the artist made sure to differentiate them, creating an immersive backdrop. At the start of the game, we are introduced to all of the romanceable characters. They each seem very interesting to talk to and keep you entertained. The problem is, the deeper you go into the story, the fewer things you encounter and the fewer choices you can make. Toward the end, the repetitiveness makes the game dull, even though all the characters, including the background ones, are well-developed. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t say there isn’t room for improvement. I hope in the future, the creators would try to create a more interactive and complex game, because there is a lot of potential in their talents. XOXO
