Excubitor

Excubitor seems to be a fusion of Steel Storm and Defense Grid. Sadly, the tower defense part is very shallow, and one you will need to place and forget early in most missions. Unfortunately for the other part, the game has not learned from the problems Steel Storm had, and quickly becomes a frustrating dash between objectives and your mother ship trying to cover for your inadequate turret defense. Wile upgrading turrets would seem to be the answer, it becomes obvious by the first boss fight that it won’t work. The turrets are sparse screen not a wall, and they end up ineffective. You can guard the ship or attack the boss, not both. BTW the boss has an instant death attack and hiding is your only option...except that seems to glitch out and not work later in the fight. It looked like a fun time, and started out as one. But I don't have time for this kind of frustration. Your call if you want to play this game but I'm moving on.

Ces colonisations sont soit de peuplement (on élimine les indigènes et on met le surplus de population) ou soit économique (la planète regorge de richesses et on les exploite sans laisser voix au chapitre aux habitants). Qui a envie de travailler dans des conditions épouvantables pour un salaire de misère ? Personne. Des robots sont donc envoyés travailler dans ses colonies économiques. Malheureusement, personne n’aime se faire exploiter, même les robots, ils ont donc décidé de se révolter, mettant en péril plusieurs colonies. Avec votre vaisseau, vous êtes envoyé matter la rebellion en disposant des tours dans des points stratégiques et en déplaçant votre navette de combat sur tous les fronts. Excubitor est un beau jeu avec une belle histoire... que je vous conseille de jouer avec une manette ! Frustrating and not fun.

Excubitor is a pretty good tower defence and shoot em up however the game can freeze up and crash if it does occur change resolution and hope for the best the graphics are pretty good it get,s a 9.5 the controls are spot on it gets a 9.5 rocommend if the game does crash change resolution Iam not 100 per cent sure if it the game or computer thar chashes the game

Another bug riddled mess with major pauses and hitching. Good grief whatever happened to making classics like GRID DEFENSE.

Funciona muito bem no Linux.

Years ago it was not bad, but now there is a bug that makes the ship almost unmanageable. Too bad the game was nice.

全方位シューとTDというよくある組合せゲーで、クリアで貯めた金で自機のアップグレード要素もある。 面によりTDじゃない面もあり、ボス的なもんがいたりする面もある。 一見、つまらなくはなさそうだが、コントローラーでの自機の攻撃が右スティックでダイレクトではなく照準を動かすタイプなんだけど、これがバグなのかスムーズに動く時と動かない時があるのが残念。 マウス併用の手もあるが、コントローラーのレイアウトは自由に変えられず、またほぼ全キーに振ってあるので、全体的に煩雑に感じる。 全体的に惜しい感じはするが、他に似た様なゲームが安価でいくらでもある中で、これを積極的に推す理由が見つからないのでオススメにしなかった。 操作の問題はおま環や何か回避法があるかも知れないし、セールで300円程度なら悪くないと思うかも知れない。 しかし、洋ゲー的な敵の硬いバランスや、照準システムでの当てにくさが、ゲームとしての楽しさを奪っている様に感じる。 折角、ダッシュや加速、ボム的なシステムがあるんだから、シューティングとしてもう少し面白い方向に寄せた方が良かったのでは？
