Start as a vulnerable hatchling and grow into a herd leader. Recruit AI dinosaurs, play alongside other players and make bone armour for your herd. Build nests and raise young in a persistent prehistoric world.
GATHER YOUR HERD
Recruit AI dinosaurs to follow your lead, or group up with other players to hunt and protect one another.
Use your species’ strengths to take on larger prey and defend your nesting grounds. When a fight turns against you, know when to move your herd out of danger.
TURN BONES INTO ARMOUR
Gather bones, teeth, osteoderms and other materials from fallen dinosaurs to craft armour and equipment.
Armour appears on your dinosaur when equipped. Make it for yourself and your herd before heading back into danger.
BUILD A HOME FOR YOUR HERD
Gather brushwood, fibre and other natural materials, find a suitable spot and build your nest. Think carefully about where you settle you’ll need to defend it.
Find a compatible AI mate, raise offspring and continue your lineage. Having young to protect gives you a reason to keep coming back.
DEFEND WHAT YOU HAVE BUILT
Other herds share the same hunting grounds and nesting areas. Some may be willing to share. Others may drive you out.
Play in a persistent multiplayer world populated by players and roaming AI dinosaurs, where alliances and rivalries form over time. Get to know your neighbours and decide who you can trust.
SURVIVE LONG ENOUGH TO LEAD
You begin as a small, vulnerable hatchling. Hunger forces you to leave cover, injuries take time to heal, and getting caught in the open can be fatal.
Pay attention to the weather and the light. Fog or darkness might help you slip past a predator or hide one nearby.
Growing bigger lets you take more risks, but you can still lose everything. Death ends your dinosaur’s growth.

Evolution of the Ancients is still in development. We’ll continue expanding crafting, progression and other systems as we work towards our vision of dinosaurs developing a civilisation of their own. Player feedback will help inform that work.
