It's worth giving this game a try since it's free to play (with limits) up to a certain point. To learn the game and the various industries, careers possible. I cannot recommend this game due to the asymmetric information that operates outside the game, and if you're only playing this game with the in game information you are at considerable disadvantage. EVE Online is more of an ecosystem of the game + the myriad of third-party tools. It can also be an enjoyable game if you can accept the fact that from 20k online players, realistically there are maybe 10k, at best. I've played this game before in the mid 2010s, but nowadays you encounter situations where you'll see a player coordinating a fleet of 6-10-20 separate accounts. As a lone player or a small group of 2-3 people you won't be able to reasonably engage these "bot" fleets. If you don't mind flying around as prey, you'll fit right in. Or think you do, until you get ganked at a safe place by 5-6 players, each bringing another 3-6 accounts of their own. Multiboxing, how it's called, makes certain economic activities worthless and social play requirements non-existent. You can have your own fun, if you can find a slice of play that you can engage with where these degenerate mechanics don't affect you. I think it's hard to do that, and as most new players you will burn out after a month or two. The community is toxic with any opinion, particularly of new players, about things that are bothersome in game so you'll be better served by not engaging with it outside the game. There are many for which this is their part-time job and their only identity. The price of the Omega subscription is pretty high for what the gameplay offers to traditional single character players. Even if game is marked as playable on the Steam deck, expect it to have random days post updates where the game does not work, at all. And there is no support for Linux, yet they don't go through the trouble of marking it as unsupported on Steam. If they manage to keep the spirit of EVE mechanics in their separate, in development, title Frontier that might be worth giving it a shot someday. As long as multiboxing is not possible. Or if they make a separate server where multiboxing is not allowed in EVE Online, I'd be more likely to suggest that. This game ain't it, even if it has plenty of mechanics that can hook a player in with roleplaying elements and a vast universe to explore.

Tutorial was more boring that I ever saw in game, really. The introduction is terrible.

Don't play this game, there is too much going on where even when trying to learn to build it breaks. I wouldn't tell anyone to play this game. this could be a form a torture where a prisoner had to make 10mil in cash, and it would take them years to be free. don't play this, find a better game

You need to filling a assignment with your email, stuck at the installment page and can't found way to download the whole game.

This is obviously a very complex and deep game which might well be fun but the "tutorials" don't really help to give a sense of what's actually going on. There are so many menus and buttons on the screen that it can be difficult to understand what you're supposed to be focussing on. I've been left wondering what I'm doing and how this will help me to play the game.
