Always enjoy its high level of freedom to decide the future of the country. I really like how this game provides many scenarios where we can freely choose different periods and experience various large-scale wars. And of course, the opportunity to learn the history, learn FROM the history - How a wrong decision could lead a country into disaster; how a tiny mistake or moment of negligence could cause a war to take a sharp turn for the worse; how naive one can be to believe that any alliance would last for good. In the game, we can pause or even sl, but in real life? The reason we study history is to prevent past tragedies and disasters from happening again, to stop us from killing each other, and that is why it is even included in our school curriculum. Unfortunately, in the real world today, there are not many places where true history is actually taught. Instead, history is often manipulated, embellished, and distorted. Not to mention that many people who study history still end up repeating the very mistakes that history was supposed to help us avoid. Oh my...We and our children are going to suffer from the cycle! If successors grieved but didn’t learn from it, then their successors would again grieve for them." -- <Epang Palace Prose>

what Paradox is doing with its DLCs feels downright predatory. Core mechanics that should be part of the base game are chopped out and sold back to players piece by piece, turning the full experience into a paywall. This isn’t just annoying—it’s unethical. Consumer protection authorities need to step in and investigate this kind of business model, because it’s exploiting players and setting a terrible precedent for the industry. People shouldn’t have to keep paying extra just to access the fundamentals of a game they already bought.
差评这么多年了还是没中文
I'm writing to express my disappointment with how the official HOI4 Discord community, moderated under Paradox Interactive's oversight, has been treating Turkish players. Multiple users have reported being banned simply for having a profile picture of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and leader of the Republic of Turkey. For millions of Turkish people, Atatürk is not "controversial" in the sense that warrants a ban he is the leader who founded their nation and led their war of independence. Banning users over his image, while other historical and political leaders are allowed as profile pictures without issue, feels like an inconsistent and unfair application of moderation rules. If a platform wants to have clear guidelines about political content, that's understandable but it should apply those rules evenly and transparently, not single out one nation's leader while ignoring others. This kind of selective enforcement alienates a large part of your player base and damages trust in the community you're supposed to be building. I hope Paradox reviews this moderation policy and treats all players and the leaders important to their history equally.
EU4 > EU5
在这个基础上把领地细化到EU5的程度,然后再自带个中文就完美了
The company engages in cultural manipulation by attributing aspects of Turkish identity and Turkish culture to other nations. On its official forums and the social media platforms it manages, it classifies images relating to Turkish identity(such as Atatürk) as offensive; yet it does not ban anyone who expresses hostility and racism towards Turks, dismissing such views as merely personal opinions(even death threats!). It is unacceptable for an established company to distort history through racist practices and to ban anyone who attempts to speak out against it.
