Nice
yes
Fun and enjoyable, until you reach a point where you have to jump across obstacles that is impossible for me to beat, and makes further progress impossible. Guess I wasted my money, and I advise others not to do the same.
gameplay: very simple combat with easy to deal with enemies but sometimes a single mistake can mean game over. simple hit and run strategy could beat even hardest secret boss story: very much a cliche can be seen in old school anime. but a lot of easter eggs or memes can be found inside side quests
Charming 3d action grinder, similar to old anime f2p mmos, though decidedly indie. Easily meets the $1/hr "rule". I liked the music, especially T tower. Balance uh, doesn't really seem to exist lol. You'll probably have a rough go of it if you play anything but a crit archer, and melee is just masochism mode. You can get hitstunned/locked 100-0 despite having a dodge roll since it doesn't ignore hitboxes (so you can get bodyblocked into a corner, or inside a pack of mobs). Some wind-up attacks the enemies use have status effects that you can still get hit by, even if you initially dodge them, if you reapproach the zone where the atk landed well after it lands, which makes getting your dmg in rather suffering on some bosses. But there's 3d projectile tracking, which is unexpected for a game like this. Jumping dodges ground projectiles, likewise you can shoot midair and it properly tracks. AoEs are a bit rough, the platforming takes a few deaths to get used to, and some mechanics aren't immediately apparent, but it's decently enjoyable albeit lacking polish and some QoL. The crafting system is neat, monster drops get used to make accessories or buy skills. Monsters have their own distinct attack patterns, palette swaps aside, and while the old backpedal-in-a-circle routine mostly outsmarts them, its quite doable without. It gets a lot more idk, interactive, once you've got some levels and skills unlocked. The passive system is pretty neat too, skills you've slotted on your hotbar have active effects on use, and passives for just having them on the bar (and pure passive signets in addition), so even if you don't want to use a particular skill, it can be worth slotting it for the stat bonus. All in all it's rough around the edges but surprisingly meaty in weird ways. A few hidden secrets and bonus items to be found too.
I can see the vision, and it has that charm of doujin 3D titles from the late 90s//early 00s, but I had to nope out at the first platforming section; utterly atrocious and apparently there's a lot more to come.
- This game is nice to try.
