Step aboard your own futuristic, luxury yacht and prepare for a voyage into the unknown. Esqapes: Voyages isn’t just a VR experience—it’s a digital sanctuary. Designed for those seeking a moment of peace, this immersive journey randomly transports you to breathtaking, never-before-seen oceanscapes. Whether you’re looking to meditate, pray, or simply escape the noise of the world, your private vessel is ready to take you there.
With over 100 handcrafted destinations to discover, every embarkation offers a fresh perspective. Drift beneath the majesty of vibrant, sun-drenched horizons or lose yourself in the ethereal glow of a moonlit bay. Every wave and every vista has been meticulously designed to maximize your immersion. Importantly, these are not AI-generated environments; they are curated works of digital art crafted specifically for VR.
Esqapes: Voyages is built on the philosophy of immersive relaxation. Simply put on your headset, set your controllers aside, and sink into your favorite chair. You won’t need to plot a course or manage complex mechanics. Your yacht’s automated navigation will guide you through peaceful waters, allowing you to focus entirely on the experience. While you can return to port at any time to change your trajectory, the most rewarding path is often the one chosen for you.
This project is a labor of love by a single independent developer. As someone who personally uses VR to manage stress and anxiety, I built Esqapes: Voyages to be the retreat I always wanted. My commitment is to keep this world growing and I intend to add new destinations through free updates, provided the project remains sustainable.

By supporting Esqapes, you are helping an indie VR creator evolve this into something even more majestic. Thank you for being part of this voyage!
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my VR gameplay & commentary here: https://youtu.be/9PW26ygx8-k This is a good fantasy travel destination app. The core experience is great. First of all, per the developer, there's over 100 hand-crafted destinations to visit. I thought this must be an exaggeration from the developer. While there is some overlap from some of the destinations as you'll see some familiar assets, each location did feel different enough. Most of the locations were breath-taking. The core experience of being on a luxury yacht and travelling to fantasy exotic locations is great. However, there's several QoL issues that brings down the experience. Unfortunately, you're trapped in one particular spot on the Yacht and you cannot move from that spot. You're also easily off-centered from this location. Secondly, the bloom is over-aggressive in this app. There are no graphical settings whatsoever to fine-tune the experience to your liking. Lastly, the sound mix is not particularly good. There are no sound settings either. I would have preferred the ability to turn off music. Also, the ability to turn off the breathing prompts. Other than those issues, I was enjoying this experience. It is not for everyone though. I'll admit this is a niche, premium experience for those of us who like escapism in our VR. Think of it as almost a very linear Star Trek Holodeck where you visit fantasy escape islands. It's almost like a roller coaster ride in that way. Game is running on the Unity engine. On my RTX 5090, I was getting a steady 90 fps. Other than having to re-center a few times, I did not experience any other serious issues or bugs. However, the bloom is very very aggressive and needs to be turned off or at least tuned down.
