"Escape The Glubinka" is a garbage shovelware "joke" game dumped on Steam in the hopes it would go viral because it's "so bad it's good", and while this is truly a terrible game, it did not go viral. What do you do in the game? Wander around some partially asset flipped environment (some assets almost look ok, others are just garbage so we at least know the developer tried to make their own assets in some places) and experience the lifestyle of an eastern bloc asset flipper, making this a somewhat autobiographical work. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $2 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Engaging gameplay with clear objectives and fun challenges, providing an enjoyable and satisfying experience for indie game fans.
my gpu died while playing this ♥♥♥♥
this is better than fortnite and valorant combined
графика топ, присутствует много сюжетных линий, отличный геймплей и свои ачивки, которые трудно получить. в общем, рекомендую
Escape The Glubinka is a free-to-play first-person adventure developed and published by blevsoft that combines survival mechanics, exploration, action, and horror with an unusual dose of absurd humor. Set in a remote rural settlement during the 1990s, the game places players inside a strange and increasingly unsettling environment where survival depends on scavenging resources, avoiding hazards, and uncovering the mysteries hidden within a seemingly forgotten village. While its modest production values immediately identify it as an indie project, the game's eccentric personality helps it stand apart from more conventional horror experiences. The story begins after a disastrous accident leaves the protagonist stranded near the isolated village of Glubnkovo. What initially appears to be an ordinary rural settlement quickly reveals itself to be something far more disturbing. The village is filled with hostile inhabitants, strange phenomena, and unexplained dangers that turn a simple journey home into a desperate fight for survival. From the opening moments, the game establishes a sense of uncertainty, encouraging players to investigate the environment while trying to understand what exactly is happening around them. Exploration serves as the backbone of the entire experience. Players are encouraged to search buildings, roads, abandoned structures, and hidden corners of the village in search of useful supplies and clues. The world rewards curiosity with hidden items, optional discoveries, and various secrets scattered throughout the environment. This focus on exploration helps make the village feel larger than it initially appears and gives players reasons to thoroughly investigate their surroundings instead of simply rushing toward objectives. Survival mechanics add tension to every expedition. Resources are limited, and maintaining the character's condition requires attention to food and drink supplies found throughout the map. Managing necessities becomes an important part of progression, especially when venturing into unfamiliar territory. These mechanics are not overly complex, but they create enough pressure to make every useful item feel valuable. The constant search for supplies reinforces the feeling that players are trapped in a hostile environment where self-sufficiency is essential. Combat plays an important supporting role. Armed with limited weaponry, players must defend themselves against aggressive threats that inhabit the village. Encounters often encourage careful resource management because ammunition and supplies are not unlimited. Rather than transforming the experience into a straightforward shooter, combat is designed to complement the survival aspects of the game. Every confrontation carries some degree of risk, forcing players to consider whether a fight is worth the resources it might consume. One of the more distinctive features is the presence of environmental hazards, particularly dangerous radiation events. These incidents add another layer of unpredictability to exploration and create moments where survival depends on quick reactions rather than combat skill. The possibility of encountering deadly environmental threats ensures that players remain cautious even when no enemies are immediately visible. This helps make the world feel alive and dangerous in ways that extend beyond traditional enemy encounters. Atmosphere is where Escape The Glubinka performs particularly well. The isolated countryside setting, empty roads, abandoned buildings, and constant sense of unease combine to create an environment that feels genuinely unsettling. The game often relies on uncertainty rather than direct scares, allowing players' imaginations to fill in the gaps. Exploring unfamiliar areas frequently generates tension because there is no way to predict whether the next encounter will be dangerous, bizarre, or simply strange. What truly differentiates the game from many independent horror titles is its willingness to mix horror with absurd comedy. Throughout the adventure, players encounter strange situations, unexpected jokes, and moments that seem deliberately designed to blur the line between fear and laughter. This unusual combination creates a distinctive tone that feels closer to a surreal nightmare than a traditional horror story. While not every joke will resonate with every player, the game's commitment to its eccentric style helps give it a memorable identity. Visually, the game embraces a rough but fitting aesthetic. The graphics are relatively simple, yet they succeed in establishing the bleak atmosphere of the rural setting. Weathered structures, deserted locations, and peculiar environmental details help build the sense that the village exists outside normal reality. The technical limitations are apparent, but the art direction often compensates by focusing on mood rather than realism. The audio design also contributes significantly to the experience. Ambient sounds, environmental effects, and periods of unsettling silence help create suspense during exploration. The soundtrack is used sparingly, allowing the natural sounds of the environment to reinforce feelings of isolation. This approach works particularly well during moments when players are uncertain about what may be waiting around the next corner. Despite its strengths, the game is not without flaws. Certain gameplay systems lack refinement, and combat can occasionally feel awkward. Movement and interactions sometimes reveal the limitations of the project's budget, while technical roughness can interrupt immersion. The humor, although distinctive, may not appeal to all audiences, especially those seeking a more serious horror experience. Some players may also find the overall structure repetitive during longer sessions. Nevertheless, Escape The Glubinka succeeds by embracing its unusual concept wholeheartedly. Rather than attempting to imitate larger horror releases, it focuses on creating a bizarre and memorable world filled with strange characters, unsettling situations, and survival challenges. Its combination of exploration, resource management, environmental hazards, and dark humor results in an experience that feels genuinely unique. For players who enjoy unconventional indie horror games and are willing to overlook a degree of technical roughness, Escape The Glubinka offers a surprisingly entertaining journey into one of the strangest villages found on Steam.
