Minimalist style platform jump games. The advantages and disadvantages are mixed. The advantages, painting style is my favorite type, play simple. Escape Initiative is a simplistic, minimalist 2D action platformer where you run along and jump on platforms and dodge obstacles and all that stuff. It's one of literally thousands of lazy 2D retro platformers infesting Steam. The phoned in graphics don't help this one, controls are okay but not perfect. It's unremarkable. While this is free, the quality isn't of the level that would really appeal to gamers. If you're looking for a good platformer, buy a console. Or play Hollow Knight or something.
