Mechanically, the game offers little in the way of game play. But what it lacks in that department, it more than makes up for in atmosphere and tone. Be that through its use of music, narration or (perhaps most predominantly) the many twists and turns within its story. All of which make 'Escape House' a game worth sharing with friends. If for no other reason than to witness their reaction.

Interesting concept and an interesting story, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what else you guys end up making. I'm not sure if you're looking for feedback, so if you're not I'll just say well done on this project, it's tight and interesting, and it's certainly a hell of a lot better than I could do! There are a couple of things I think could be tweaked/added however, which I'll list below if you're interested: - a quick popup text at the start saying 'WASD to move' would be helpful. People who don't play video games don't automatically know that WASD is almost always the movement controls, and might have a frustrating first few minutes as they try to figure out how to go down the hallway. - the animation when you
climb over the gate
causes the camera to clip through the ceiling for a brief moment - A quit to desktop button would be good! - In my personal opinion the character movement speed was a little too speedy, I would've preferred him to just be a little slower, but that's completely subjective to me. Again, well done on this project, I enjoyed playing through it very much! looking forward to seeing what else you guys cook up.
Escape House feels like what would happen if The Stanley Parable snuck into a cheese factory after hours, got lost in the vats, and decided to narrate its own descent into experimental absurdism. The gameplay is less about pushing buttons (except one) and more about being pushed gently through a strangely hypnotic world where atmosphere does the heavy lifting, like an ambient OfficialLiveWire album disguised as a walking simulator. There’s a sly humour tucked into the walls sometimes wardrobes and the dark undertones is one of those oddly specific touches that turns a surreal stroll into something you’ll remember far longer than the runtime suggests. It’s short, weird, and maybe even self aware enough to wink at you. But that’s exactly why it works, it’s not trying to be a blockbuster, just a clever riff on interactivity and tone, a little pocket sized experiment that will lead to greater games yet to come. Very charming game, with a fun narrative and straightforward gameplay. The kind of thing anyone and everyone can pick up and play. Really great to see independent and experimental projects out here in the store. Always feels good to give support where possible. Excited to see what you bring out next!
Very fun game with a story that takes a twist that was unexpected. Cant wait for new updates/endings! 10/10
