Был бы добротный платформер с элементами головоломки при наличии русского перевода и исправлений под меню Steam
I'm a sucker for one-room puzzle games & this hits the spot. There are a handful of secret rooms I didn't finish yet. Plays great on Steam Deck. Don't know why it is goat-themed, but that's definitely a plus.
Can't believe this only has 200 steam reviews after over a decade. Criminally under appreciated puzzle platformer.
Good puzzle game, much like its predecessor, but the secret levels (and the related secret entrances to find) are 50% strictly-timed puzzle and 50% nightmare platformer, and a couple of them really made me consider tearing my testicles off.
This is a really fun puzzle game.
To those puzzle platformer enthusiasts out there who haven't played the excellent first game: do yourself a favour, go play it first, and only after that return for the generous helping of Escape Goat 2. The sequel is every bit as good, as fun and as clever as the first game was, but it hits different, expanding the original's arsenal of tricks a great deal. There are more Mouse abilities now that demand creative use, and more interactive blocks. There's also quite a deadly new enemy (that seemingly escaped from the classic Snake game) introduced in the final part. IMO the innovations did a good job of keeping the game fresh and varied till the end. However, the level progression is designed to be a bit more linear this time around (probably to help streamline the difficulty curve). That's not a big deal, but it might feel a little more restrictive compared to the first game. There is one part of Escape Goat 2 that I found to be, so to speak, less than stellar. It does not affect the main game, but completionists should probably take note. The thing is, EG2 features a series of optional extra-hard levels. Even finding (let alone completing) them without a guide requires you to spend an amount of time totally disproportionate to the "reward" they provide. These levels are designed around pixel-perfect positioning and split-second timings; sadly, this immediately showcases the engine's limitations and its inability to properly handle such precision, leading to much aggravation. Let me repeat: it does not lessen the main game experience in any way whatsoever! But it's there. Overall, a very good game that leaves you craving more. Very much recommended.
This is one of my favorite puzzle platform games and it's well worth the price. They really nailed the art and sound design.
i love this game so much, it's the perfect amount of platformer to puzzle. you usually enter a room completely baffled by how this is supposed to be solvable, then 15 minutes later you feel like a genius
I haven't played the first game, but I can say that it is of the quality one would expect from a full platform puzzle game. The mechanics of the game are simple, the level variety is relatively proportional, the visuals are neat and most importantly the puzzles are clever. What more could a person want than to lead his stubborn goat to the exit by solving puzzles? We also have a helper mouse...
The Goat you remember, now with cathedral beams and synthwave dreams Replacing the crunchy pixels of the first with soulful cartoon art and fancy lighting, we have a game that is very much like the first -- and just as much worth a play. All that's missing is the shock of newness, not to say there aren't three or four fresh tricks hidden beneath the Escape Goat's purple coat. As before, the game is a mystic collection of better mouse traps, and the thing you do is start bashing, breaking, and getting snapped by them until you've figured them out: a puzzle style I much appreciate for its headlong action focus. I was almost determined to hundred-percent this one -- I even beat every major optional section -- but I just found it too much of a slog to poke every crevice for the invisible keys that unlock the hidden rooms. They're shockingly hard to find! (That would have been a great project for the endless summer, way back when.) Even so, I think that's a better way to slip in a li'l extra than the nearly impossible masocore torture of the first game's All Intensive Purposes pack. The fine new detail on the tail-wagging Goat and dandy sorcerer Mouse do not go unappreciated -- and the whole experience makes me wish I could see them team up for a third adventure of some kind. I mean, it could be Escape Goat 3, or some rollicking Zelda II-esque thing, or even a point 'n' click! Whatever Magical Time Bean turned his hand to, I'm sure it would be excellent.
