Flappy birds on steroids x 1,000. It has some really clever additions to the basic game including lasers, dashing, shields and enemies. The sountrack, sound fx, graphics and the overall level of polish are well above what I would expect at this price point. This goes straight into my collection of arcade games that I play when I have limited time. Well worth buying.
Great game to play on those short pauses in our busy rotine. The controls are very responsive and the game is imenselly fun to play with it's twists on this classic mechanic. Once you begin playing a level, you'll want to play it until you beat it, and after you beat all the levels you even get an arcade and a speedrun mode. Guaranteed fun with this one and really worth it for the price.

Joguinho bonito e viciante! :D
A simple and nice game which gave me a couple hours of fun! It's not hard to complete, but it's good to see the whole story! I think some feedbacks could be improved, but I think this not ruin the experience of playing! Congratulations to the dev!
Recomendado.
The quirky comic panel art style adds something to this classic game style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqON-eQpIkQ If you want to see it for yourself, watch my video. For me, this takes me back to days of playing Volcano Run on Neopets while also evoking the sense of Volkmire's Inferno from Battletoads. For you, it's probably a different game that turned you on to this genre. Shields, lasers, and a dash mechanic all add something extra to make a basic mechanic into something more. There are a few odd choices: letting you completely respec points, and the first time you encounter the Eye a comic panel pops up to hide the tentacle wall that's about to kill you. I also completely missed the option to tweak colors, which is a cool choice, although I wish the game's levels varied their colors automatically: it makes the game feel a little too much like the free games it's based on. Escape from the Cosmic Abyss is simple, to the point, and you already know that cranking up max speed to troll yourself is the best way to play.
Simple and fun game. It has a really cool twist on the flappy bird game. Having to deal with threats from other directions on later levels is a clever idea. The graphics are really neat and gave me a comic book feeling, which is great. Totally worth buying it.
The most game you can get out of the Flappy Bird mechanic!
Escape from the Cosmic Abyss is an extremely lame Flappy Bird ripoff mobile app that was dumped on Steam instead of app stores by mistake/incompetence/confusion from developers. Gameplay consists of, you guessed it, pushing the up arrow just enough to keep you from hitting the floor or the roof as you scroll endlessly to the right. What utter garbage. At least it's not a 2D retro pixel platformer or a Unity asset flip? Also it looks like the game has original art, so that's something. Crappy 2D static sprites, but at least they're not pixelcrap. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. PC gamers will be insulted by the presence of console peasant children's toy controller prompts, despite this being on PC. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're developing for. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Godot game engine/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it's free (so they don't have to pay for GameMaker Studio) and doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Escape from the Cosmic Abyss is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
