The story is a typical whodunit with a list of suspects that could all have a motive. E:TPM has the typical three modes; beginner, intermediate, and advanced. These modes control how quickly the player can get a hint or completely skip a puzzle. The only control for the game is the mouse, it is all point and click. The story in E:TPM is a little more engaging than many similar hidden object games, with more dialog than average. As is typical of many of these games, the dialog is somewhat broken English. That artwork is passable; mostly hand drawn, but with some scenes that look oddly photorealistic. The puzzles are the standard fare, but there are a few that are different. One different style was a fingerprint location subgame that is reused a couple of times and finding every last finger print is a challenge. Solving the "find a list of objects" puzzles are as expected, however, many of the game locations where this takes place are reused several times. The logic puzzles are all fairly easy to solve, with a few being mildly challenging. There are a few chokepoints where a player would have to be on a mind-altering substance to come up with the correct solution without using a hint. These are things like the player possessing an object that does something, somewhere, but having no idea at all what it's use is supposed to be. E:TPM is a challenging, if cartoonish hidden object game, with a decent story. The vast majority of players would need to use hints; it is unlikely that the advanced mode is possible to do, due to a few of the choke points (at least not without shot-gunning every scene with clicks on every screen location). It's recommended for hidden object lovers and is also a good start into the genre because of the smaller setting.
I do recommend the game its puzzles are decently difficult but not too difficult. Voice acting is pretty good. Just note: there's no way to save game and continue later on, there is no menu once you're in the "Menu" button is just your journal of evidence, you have to finish in one sitting. I had to let it run overnight while I slept. The ending is also super abrupt.
It's fun! Plus the main voice actor is from the older Nancy Drew games, which is awesome. Played on hard mode, and there are definitely times where I was scratching my head and then figured it out, so I expect detective mode would be even funner. Would recommend if you enjoy point and clicks - plus the music is soothing.
A tentative yes for those who like hidden-object games. It's not the most compelling of games, but there are some aspects of interest. There is an odd contrast between the ambitious female police detective, who with her assistant, occasionally appears on the scene to interview suspects, and the lone player, who mostly goes silently from room to room picking up items to solve puzzles or to open a door or a locked chest. A chart that you can refer to gives whatever information is known on each of the suspects, but I find myself mostly ignoring it, instead just solving the puzzles as I come to them and solving the hidden-object scenes. Eventually the detective will tell me who is the guilty party, I think. The environment is a modern suburban neighborhood, so there is no (?) fairytale magic in it. The puzzles can be solved with items you pick up as you go along, but many critical items are not accessible at the time. You must go back and search for a knife or a key or whatever. The hints magnificently cover these instances, but the "adventure" aspects tend to wane in dramatic effectiveness when you have to backtrack so much to find an essential item to use in a later scene. You are constantly scuttling among the master bedroom, the living room, kitchen, guest bedroom, and a neighbor's house. It's too much like real life (!) to care overmuch as to how it comes out.
Entwined: The Perfect Murder - an exciting detective game where you become a detective in a classic whodunit investigation. After the mysterious death of Adam Turner, you have the opportunity to interrogate all the suspects and gather evidence to unravel this tangled criminal intrigue. Follow every twist of the plot and solve the puzzle of this mysterious case.
Отличная игра, которая достойно показала себя среди Hidden-object жанра. Мне понравился гемплей, а так же графика(рисовка) которая напомнила мне ретро стиль
Not a favorite of mine. Boring, stiff and the puzzles are rather easy.
want my money back. can't get past enter name screen!!!
I liked it. Not too hard, not too easy. Just a chilled laid back mystery to solve. Perfect for a lazy Sunday evening
It is an old HOG. But even so there are many points that speak against a purchase. a) the graphic is not the best b) some riddles are beyond logic or spots are not clear c) the HOG parts in each room are used multiple times....and you must either walk around to see that there is another round or you must use the hint button d) it is rather short, it is done in just 1 1/2 hours No, sorry can't recommend this game.
