這是關於一件兇殺案的隱藏物件的遊戲, 我覺得比起那些莫明其妙的神怪故事好。 很多物件都很難找, 而且遇到很多我要查字典的物件單字。(遊戲有提示功能, 就算不查字典也可以的。) 遊戲內有些寶石和指模可以收集, 但破關後卻沒有結算, 變得多此一舉。

Der erste Eindruck von Entwined: Strings of Deception ist ziemlich ernüchternd. Der altbackenen Grafik sieht man nämlich mehr als deutlich an, dass das Spiel schon über 10 Jahre alt ist, wobei die Grafik wohl schon bei der Veröffentlichung als hässlich und alles andere als taufrisch gegolten haben muss. Das zieht sich denn auch durch das Spiel hindurch. Die Bilder sind grundsätzlich hübsch und passend gestaltet, aber eben grafisch altbacken im 4:3 Format. Das gilt erst recht für die sehr steifen 3D-Animationen. All diese grafischen Unzulänglichkeiten treten aber bald in den Hintergrund. Denn das Gameplay ist sehr solide. Als Detective soll man einen Mord aufklären und sucht dafür wie es sich für Hidden Object Games gehört die unterschiedlichen Räume ab, entweder direkt oder aber in den klassischen Wimmelbildern. Das ist nichts weltbewegendes, bietet aber wie so oft solide Unterhaltung für zwischendurch. Dass ich Entwined: Strings of Deception als überdurchschnittlich interessanten Genrevertreter erlebt habe, hängt mit zwei spezifischen Aspekten zusammen. Zum einen sind da die diversen Rätsel, die es zu lösen gilt. Diese sind oft relativ simpel, aber immerhin abwechslungsreich gestaltet und durchaus passend zum ganzen Setting. Sie wirken also nicht aufgesetzt, wie das teilweise sonst der Fall ist und geben dem Gameplay eine nette Abwechslung. Zum anderen ist da die Story. Der Krimicharakter passt hervorragend zum Gameplay und ist interessant gestaltet. Natürlich kommt das Niveau dabei nicht über einen durchschnittlichen Sonntagabendkrimi hinaus, trotzdem sind die ersten rund drei Viertel des Spiels spannend gemacht, wo man sich wirklich fragt, was hier vorgeht und wer wie mit wem wieso. Je mehr sich der Verdacht verdichtet, geht dem Ganzen natürlich etwas die Luft aus, aber bei rund 3-4 Stunden Spielzeit ist das völlig verschmerzbar. Positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass es eine echte Auflösung gibt, wo auch gewisse Dinge erklärt werden, aus denen ich mir zuvor keinen Reim machen konnte. Ebenfalls positiv zu erwähnen ist die Sprachausgabe. Das Spiel gewinnt viel, dadurch dass nicht nur Textfenster eingeblendet werden sondern die Gespräche vertont und sogar animiert sind. Ja, die Animationen sind seeeehr rudimentär, aber im Vergleich zu den sonst üblichen Textfenstern gibt das doch nochmals einen gehörigen Atmosphäreschub. Fazit: Wer Hidden Object Games mag, bekommt hier einen zwar etwas altbackenen Genrevertreter, der aber durch Story, Abwechslung und Atmosphäre viel wett macht. Beileibe kein Meisterwerk der Spielegeschichte, aber eine interessante Unterhaltung für Zwischendurch.

Okay, so... Not a bad game, but... Not a good one either. If you don't care about the graphics and just passively want to do H.O. scenes like me? Sure, any H.O. game (that actually works when you start it) can do it for you. The problem is that... This is one of those H.O.G.s that randomly spawn an H.O. scene somewhere. This game actually does multiple spawns too lol... BUT! I WILL give them credit... Unless you write stuff down, you will be clicking around, trying to find where the hell the next item/action is... And the they designed in a way... That even one that gets lost a lot *cough*... Can find their way. (There aren't that many areas...) So you will most likely run into an H.O. scene. That and if you attempt to enter the... Was it 9 digits? The 9 digit passcode -> MAKE SURE TO MEMORIZE IT! The moment you open that Folder? The code resets. :D.............. Come on... You can do 9. I will also point out the absurd part: the MC obtains the evidence against the "perpetrator" in an illegal way. She had no warrant and "did a certain action"... Which means her evidence will be thrown out. I pointed this out in another game too, similar to this one. Hell, it might've been same Developers too. What's with you enjoying "breaking n entering"? XD She is a Detective for crying outloud! Lol. Anywho... This game is alright. It's mellow and the Hint system is a "Strategic Guide" type thing. Yeah.

Entwined: Strings of Deception is a hidden object/point and click adventure game among many others. Despite being released in 2011, there's no widescreen option, you can choose between stretched or pillarboxed, neither of which was "ok" in 2011, let alone 2019. Not worth $8.50 for a game that doesn't even take modern PCs into account despite being released when widescreen was the standard.

A nice HOG with a story that keeps you hooked. Another example of why most of the time old HOGs are better. pros. great story will keeps you hooked to know more and who have done what i really love the fake evidences ok voice acting cons. the map is pretty much useless kinda short (around 2 and half hours for the main story) no bonus story no puzzles i highly recommend this game a really enjoyable story and very simple and casual game. i give it 8/10

Even if you enjoy this genre of game, buy it on sale.

This time a local inventor has been murdered and, as expected, there are the usual suspects: a butler, a maid, the wife, hot secretary, etc. E:SoD has a normal and hard mode, which controls the timing of hints and the ability to skip over puzzles. The only control for the game is the mouse, it is all point and click. The story in E:SoD is somewhat similar to the previous game and there are more than a few repeated puzzles from the previous game, in fact some appear to be direct copies. As before, the dialog is awkward broken English that may be artificial. The artwork is the typical hand drawn type, with very little that looks photoshopped this time. There is nothing about E:SoD that really stands out other than the scale feels larger. Whereas Entwined: The Perfect Murder took place in a small setting (for a mansion), E:SoD is quite a bit larger with sprawling grounds and many rooms inside the building. Fortunately, there is a map, and there is quite a bit to explore with plenty of backtracking being necessary throughout the game. There is a fingerprint and jewelry collection task that is a long-term goal, and many of these will be found in the first 6 or 7 areas that can be accessed. Some areas aren't visually blocked, but the game won't allow passage until some previous sections have been completed first. For players that have played Entwined: Strings of Deception, many of the puzzles will feel like repeats, and some of them are 100% repeats. E:SoD feels easier, but there are likely several areas where most players will need a hint to get by. Overall, E:SoD is a good companion to the previous game, but may feel a little too familiar to some players. I liked this game. It's very old school: just one hidden object scene after another, with a few easy puzzles thrown in along the way. However the interface is clean, the HOG scenes were fun and relaxing to complete, and the story is decent. Four hours is the right length for this type of game. I'll give it a mild thumbs up, especially if you can get it cheap during a sale.
