If you're used to a regular RPG control scheme on any other similar RPG with a gamepad controller, then the controls on this will be absolute trash. Not even worth to see if it is even possible to re-bind because every single button is so bad put that I personally have no patience to fix the whole horrendous control scheme. The other way around would be trying to get used to it, which I did, and spent hours trying to build a home just to blow the fk it down accidentally and fkin lost all of those hours. Turns out that random mobs can drop explosives, they go straight to the action bar and if you're not specifically taking care not to blow your house off, which was definitively not my case, you might eventually simply drop the stupid grenade and explode all your hours of building off. not even a single button to reverse the savefile, just the feeling I could have had more fun spending those hours in fkin connecting my peepee to the outlet instead. And I'm a guy who always adapt to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controller schemes, but it is so fking easy to brick your hard work that those little details tilted me the fk out of this trash. Sad I can't ask for a refund at this point.
I've only got 20 hours in this game, because it takes at least 30 minutes to compile shaders every time i launch the game. Whether the shaders are pre-cached or not, it doesn't change anything. In 2026, games should not be requiring me to wait half an hour to play. This is unacceptable. I like the gameplay loop, but damn I just wish I could actually play. Happy to change my review once this is fixed.
I'm really trying to love this game, but it is not so easy. Here is why: - Too many crafting tables / NPC / items without option to search (you need constantly opened wiki on the other display) - Chests are not rewarding, fighting is not rewarding,... when I'm thinking about it, everything is not rewarding at all - Too many weapon types means that there is very low chance of getting new one - This applies for armor / rings etc. too - There are too many weapons / armor sets but stats are too boring - Skill tree is boring also - there are very few options you can play if you want to get some progress (you are cooked with bow for example) - Gameplay gets very repetitive, thats the reason we stopped playing, because we do not feel that completing the game will be rewarding since the game was not rewarding at all. Don't get me wrong, the world is awesome (even with my trashy GPU) and I love that game. But maybe we will try it again once it will leave EA. (I'll likely update this after full release)
WTF? I've had better optimized farts than this 50 fps max no matter what settings POS game, crazy it has this many positive reviews. No games I play have this FPS Lag like this, it reminds me of when Cyberpunk 2077 first came out. The FPS Lag wasn't this bad when I got this game like a year ago BTW, I thought I would revisit this and holy, I literally got right off the game.
Been playing since almost day 1 and i gotta say this is one of the most fun and visually stunning games ive played in awhile! Either playing solo or with a couple of friends its always a good time! So much to explore and do and alot of cool user made worlds, If your big into Valhiem and those style games this should definately scratch that itch and more!
lame combat cool basebuilding
I love this game. It's everything I want in a dark survival adventure, like a fusion of Valheim and Elden Ring. All of the systems feed beautifully into each other such that you always have something to do and always feel like you are progressing. The world is beautiful and stuffed with little details and things to do. However, I cannot recommend this game until two major progression-blocking bugs are fixed. One, friendly NPC's constantly gets stuck inside the terrain and random objects, which causes villagers to get lost (though they can be re-summoned) and livestock to starve. Certain important items become much more difficult to obtain as a result. Two, entire areas of the map randomly become "corrupted," and not in the canon way. Structures and enemies lose their hitboxes, or do not spawn at all, which will hard-lock locations and quests. My server's main quest is indefinitely postponed because the Shrout Roots in the Albaneve Summit Elixir Well cannot be cut down. Hopefully these issues are fixed very soon. I would love to come back and play again.
HELLO HOW GRAPHIC NO GAME BYEBYE
I'm writing this review, not to give negative feedback regarding the game. The game itself is good, my main issue for this negative review is since the last 2 major updates I am unable to launch my game, it continually crashes and all roads I have explored to resolve this situation has leaded to the same result in the game crashing, I have not changed anything regards to my PC I am still running my 4080RTX which I was before the issues. I the Devs do read this please fix your game
