This game represents a successor that tries to answer a lot of the frustrations and issues with the first in the series. It is not the same game, but more. It is a different 4x with the same high fantasy flavor. Excellent city building and expansion mechanics. Streamlined unit advancement (no longer needing to custom equip your soldiers). Better hero mechanics. Interesting faction mechanics for asymmetric gameplay. I'm also loving the combat and fortress raids.
It is not as complex as Endless Legend 1, but in a good way. Definitely worth.
came from Endless Space 2, loved it and love this even more
Endless legend 1 with gorgeous graphics, improved systems/qol, incredibly cool added systems and unique art/music/lore that maintains the extreme quality amplitude always has with their games. Already 8/10 game that will likely become a personal 10/10 within a few years of development.
Solid Civ like
Gutes X4 Game aus der Endless-Serie. Die Monsum-Mechanik mit der Aufdeckung neuer Provinzen ist einzigartig.
Amplitude at their best
Well, developer pleasing about review on product, so then...
Game cool, but with nuance..
[little bit about my expirience ENDLESS™ Legend]
I have all DLC, so I think my experience is the most complete. Despite the rather outdated UI - after a few hours game becomes easy to read. Constant lags were a huge problem, for example, when game change season or close to mid game too high effects + turns AI. Disgusting combat system! Without proper skill, its difficult to give orders correctly; auto-battles are almost always not in your favor. However i really like project cause: story, charisma, quests and .. (first few games are just something!) It truly creates the effect of a living planet with a history. Combination of voice acting and ambient sounds makes the game feel like more than just a 4K strategy game.
What about ENDLESS™ Legend 2?
Still disgusting combat system for me! UI - modern, but not easy to read. Turns AI too long on early game, but if talk about all game, i think, optimization good. The quests work properly, but are very wooden and monotonous. I've only played as the Necrophages so far, but I have a lot to say about the army, the city, etc. The music is great, but the voice acting is often overdone.
City/Town
Of course, innovations are necessary and Im glad that franchise continues to experiment, but now capture of territories is very similar to Сivilization, and this in turn creates the effect of a "derivative/second product". Overboard with the residents by adding at least "races". Im not a prude, but was this ever what the game was about? At least right now the mechanics feel very raw, as the Necrophages talk about "xenophobia" and somehow other fractions have agents move in town or necrophages can recruit heroes from minor factions. I would really like to see the district system return. Probably, need rework system to better reveal the system of upgrading city cells. Frankly, I couldn't find a clear tab with militia, but this is most likely a UI problem.
Strategic resources
Resources are poorly read from the map when exploring. That all folks!
Army
I will now speak only for Necrophages. The larvae are useless, but almost free. However, due to issues with strategic resources, its impossible to fully experience the leveling system. The game forces you to follow specific paths, which significantly reduces variety. The combat system makes you want to press the "auto-combat" button more than once. The game still feels raw right now. It needs some polishing, reworking, and possibly new systems. Am I willing to recommend the product? Rather no than yes. To the fans of the universe.. In any case, I supported the developers almost at the start of the project's release, I hope they will succeed! p.s. totally forgot.. I BEG YOU to reduce the number of animations, it's impossible, there are too many distracting and repetitive animations
I really enjoyed the water reseccion mechanic. the factions are all pretty unique, with really good models.
