Very good strategy game experience with changing landscape, distinct factions and a very smooth user interface and experience that puts Civilization games to shame.
Basic to the bear bones. I am so sorry i bought this as a fan of the first one.
Good game :)
A great expansion on the foundation of Endless Legend 1. Excited for 1.0 release and expansion on the good bones here.
TLDR, it’s a fun, good looking vibe. however the authors vision for the narrative can feel overbearing and clash with gameplay/headcannon for your empire The game is gorgeous, I love the art direction! The dialogue/ narrative however, is well and truly mid. All the factions are far too similar in demeanor. Even the bugs have chill convos with people during minor faction quests. Thankfully this dev knows not everyone vibes with every writing style so you can turn it off! Head cannon is best cannon after all :). I've also seen a LOT of 4X games try the "reveal new land overtime to encourage new colonization" mechanic and this is the first 4X I've voluntarily found myself engaging with that mechanic. The sea fall also helps to separate the empires until mid/late game so no super early steamroll. However if the player is not aggressive the AI is content to chill until the end of the game, even had the bugs offerd me a research agreement at one point
I have been having some problems with the game crashing, I am not sure if that is on my end or the game. the game itself however is great.
highly enjoyable early access with great gameplay, interesting factions and map+monsoon mechanics are awesome! Looking forward to more unique factions for future expansions
