Great game, was playing during every possible playtest. It's the ultimate form of 4X games

If you like Amplitude studios game, you will ike EL2. The tides mechanic is fun for people like me who enjoy exploring and expanding (i hate being locked out of expanding by the AI). At the time of writing, it still needs a pass of bugfixes (terrain bonuses not applying coorectly) and balance (Some protectorate bonuses are quite stronger than others and the spawns are really rng), but worth it.
