Emberdrift

Definitely feeling the old school sonic vibes, but way more peppy, shiny, and pew pew pew fast. The power sliding and wall jumping are some of the most fun I have had with a movement ability in a while....even if i was not doing the best at it initially, I got better and the flow really started flowing. The music is also kinda' amazing. Really enjoying it so far <3 Looking forward into digging into all the wild items, pets and abilities. Working though on easy mode (thank gawd I can change the difficultly thank you) is still a blast btw <3

You should try this game! It's easy to get into, but also challenging. The chill difficulty is perfect for me lol. The emberdrift mechanic is really satisfying once you get the hang of it, and I can't wait to get more skins and pets! The music is perfect- really gets your blood pumping. I had to buy the OST too! Crazy that this was made by one dev.

Extremely satisfying movement

A quite good game that is very close to an amazing game, I wish it was tuned a little bit more: -It's very hard on controller to aim precisely so you just kind of hold the shoot button down and let auto aim do it for you. That causes you to shoot the bomb enemies that would are essential for your movement through the obstacles, and it's overall hard to control. I would make the movement enemies immune to gunfire if possible. -You can pick up extra jumps through chests, but I wish this was part of meta progression, the game is only really fun with multiple jumps. Going vertically up is a very frustrating experience with the systems as-is, and the game wants you to go up a lot. -My drifts feel like they end sometimes JUST before hitting an enemy, causing me to lose my combo. I don't know how I'd tune this but it is annoying. -Wall clinging messes with fast fall and it feels hard to thread down narrow vertical tunnels without wall clinging. I would add a dedicated fast fall input that would fast fall even with a wall cling and/or allow fast falling from the wall cling state with the normal input. -The melee weapons just feel weirdly off compared to the ranged weapons, less satisfying to use. I don't kno -The game doesn't explain the pet system at all and I have no idea what's going on with them. -Alongside the pet system, the rest of the game's systems are lacking an explanation and I only feel like I get them because I've played a bunch of roguelites. -The font of the game makes the 1 look like a 7 which is a minor gripe when glancing at the various merchants Overall enjoyed my time with it so far.

Fast paced platformer, With cool visual effects. It took me a minute to get good at the controls but after that it is so fun to dash through enemy after enemy for a big combo.

I think this is a good game and should be tried out to see if you like it. I have one issue with the game personally. The emberdrift always shooting you down is not very intuitive for game play. I couldnt get use to it myself and ended up not liking it because of that. I do think everything else about this game was great! so if that issue is something that doesnt bother you or something that you can play with enough to get used to then I think you should try this game out.

There is no other game like this. I felt a calling to this game before I even played it, hence why I bought it. You just become a speedy killing machine once you got the combo sweet spot going.

This flashy unique game takes maybe an hour to get used to the flow and mechanics. Typical easy to learn, hard to master. The game recommends normal for most players to start at. I would suggest easy just to get used to the game, You use an ember drift( a slide) as an attack and a way to traverse. You also get one of many weapons that can attack, and has a way to traverse. Grenades to explore or unlock treasure, and a deflect for projectiles. Banners, tarot cards, slots, pinball, and a junkyard claw game keep things fresh for stats. Some are easy choices some are not. You also can get pets! Many stages, bosses, meta progression, and skins to unlock! The music is catchy and works. Only negative is i know many people hate ai art. It is used and modified. With the pace of the game, it doesn't bother me, have to mention it though. A solo dev put a lot of love into the game and even added content a week after release! Have had a blast playing so far and am excited to play more. Would recommend the game to anyone who likes fast paced action with a fun rogue-lite twist.
