ELECTROBASIS is a fun experience that you should definitely try since it’s free anyway. Most impressively is that it was made entirely by a teacher and their students in high school! The plot is that you are a cherub who has fallen from heaven and must now help fix another cherub’s casino, which you accidentally damaged when you fell. The game is quite simple and shouldn’t really get too challenging, and I honestly don’t mind that. I saw it mainly as a way to experience and interact with a small glimpse of the cool world it presents. I found all the character designs incredibly lovely and quirky, and I enjoyed the mini-missions I had to complete for each of them. Despite the short playtime and few missions per character, I felt like I got to know all their quirks well enough, and I had fun. I always prefer fun, unique adventures like this that feel like they have their own identity. As you help the casino, you’ll also unlock some fun abilities that aren't useful in gameplay. They're just fun and goofy, and you get to see the casino fill up. Also, just a note: I was amazed by all the accessibility and quality-of-life options in this game. You can choose whether to use them, whether it’s to skip a puzzle, find chips, or various other things. It’s all clearly very well thought out. I recommend trying to do everything on your own first, but it’s nice to see a game that thinks of all its players. Charming game. Characters were entertaining. The art design is nicely done and not hard on the eyes. Work great on the steam deck. Free and easy 100% game
Cute little friend-em-up with an interesting premise. Short and sweet! Incredible how much you can upset an angel by being just a bit impolite!
I LOVE THIS GAME ITS AMAZING I LOVE... THE GIANT RAT, anyway i find it funny i love the dialogue ive taken wayyyyy to many screenshots of some of them and i thought i was being cleaver with an elevator bug... and found a hidden room... Anyway if the creators see this... voyager, - Dino Creator (i believe i don't remember)
This is quite the charming game about cherubs inhabiting electrical objects and running a casino. It's a short game in which you solve puzzles and mini-games to help the other cherub residents in order to restore the casino to its former glory. The graphics are no the best but the art direction is fabulous! The flashy casino feel hits the right vibe and the character designs fit the cherubs and their personalities. The only issue I have is the guitar mini-game which is a bit hard to figure out at first and really hard for those who can't hear audio well. Other than that, this is a pretty good game and I'm impressed with how much personality and charisma is packed into this short game.
"ELECTROBASIS" is a very low quality first person adventure from developers who couldn't afford to buy a 16:9 widescreen monitor in 2024 so they made it on a CRT they found in a dumpster. Now, given that background for the developer, do you think these dumpster divers could come up with a game resembling the state of the art for 2024 (Black Myth Wukong, Helldivers 2... and this). The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $5 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 10 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Finally, this is infested with the toxic EOS malware... now, this is a single player game, so it's not for online services... it's just for data harvesting as the developer clearly seems eager to profile you and presumably sell the data. They'll argue and whine it's not for that purpose, but if you could trust them, they wouldn't be trojaning EOS into a single player game, now, would they? No, they would not. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
It's a game you'd play after a long day, simple and calm, short story. It's a game where you get to know the characters around you, quirks n' all.
i really liked it
Cool game, the object lovers are foaming at the gottdamn mouth with this one (⎚-⎚ they're actually angels). Overall it is a very fun exploration game. I just wish that it ran better on lower end computers. I had to play the game in the tiniest window mode because I was getting the white screen glitch when I was in full screen. My issues with the game come down to the game being made by a very small team though, so of course there is going to be optimization issues. Other than that road-block the game is very enjoyable and I will have to replay one day to find the secrets not added into the achievements.
Charming people pleaser sim with interesting visuals and original lore. Mechanically its nothing amazing (and it doesnt need to be) but its still worth playing if only for the dialogues and the clear passion the devs have put into it, as well as the general vibe it manages to transmit. Its always inspiring to see short cool indie games that just want to give the player an unique experience. PD: The OOB secret took me really by surprise and it felt really cool, wish more games did that kind of stuff.
