Good, short! i replayed it twice to get the 100% and enjoyed it, i could probably even get a refund still i beat it so quick but i want to support the devs, the endless nightmare mode is allright? once you learn the level there not much replayability to me but a good prequel, really sets the stage for el paso elsewhere and its only 5$
Not like El Pase Elsewhere, this is a wave shooter that wasn't expectional.
Ever wonder what El Paso, Elsewhere would be like if it were bad, bordering unplayable? Here it is!

Absurd and boring. So, do you like walking? Do you like hallways? How about walking through hallways? And do you like things that look exactly the same? Endlessly? For no good reason? Oh, boy, do I have the game for you: No story. You walk forward. And then, you walk around with NOTHING to do for NO reason.
A *very* short teaser/prologue for El Paso Elsewhere. It's fun for maybe an hour or so at most, before the already thin mechanics begin to grate. The audio design and voice acting are its biggest strengths, with the frantic muttering of the protagonist and wheezing gasps of the enemies making the game's first segment feel all the more tense. Unfortunately, although the gunplay is fun at first, the slow movement and lack of variety gives little reason to want to revisit this title. I ultimately lean more positive than not on account of its brevity, and the fact that now comes bundled for free with the main game. That said, I can see why it might be deserving of a negative review as a standalone title. Even if it was only designed as a teaser and to help build financial support and interest for the main game, in the end, there is very little on offer here.
eu sei que é meio "demo", e a intenção e funcionar mais como uma introdução para oque vai ser o el paso, elsewhere, ele faz até que bem isso a introdução da historia e mecanicas e auto explicativo.
Bought a game expecting big action, run and gun, Max-Payne-like gameplay, everything I saw in the trailer. Didn't realize this was some addon with an incredibly similar name, would up installing and playing this first, and nearly refunded until I realized what happened. I actively avoid the kind of game that 'nightmare' is. Off to try the game I bought, and I think this was an honest mistake but very confusing and frustrating marketing.
It was alright. I’m a fan of the voice actor but not a fan of the enemy encounters though. They mostly just run straight at you, and if you’re not careful, you end up surrounded. But yeah, it’s only about an hour long, and as a short little appetizer for the next game, it works fine.
EL PASO, NIGHTMARE is a short, half-decent spinoff of El Paso, Elsewhere. It has 2 levels: an Outlast-style game of hide and seek against monsters from Elsewhere, and a wave survival game built around scavenging supplies and navigating surreal rooms. Both are in first person, and none of the fun combat abilities from Elsewhere return (slow-mo, diving, using stakes). You can return to the wave survival level whenever you want and, with modifiers, tweak things like enemy damage and game speed. The greatest offense Nightmare commits is that none of Elsewhere's rap tracks appear here. The background songs are decent, but something's missing without Lake Savage's edgy and fun music. I would only get it in the bundle with El Paso, Elsewhere. It's not worth playing on its own. Even in a completionist run, you can beat it in 90 minutes, and it has some glaring flaws that get in the way of enjoyment. Later waves have serious performance issues. Combat is janky without the ability to roll, dive, or slow down time. The protagonist has an annoying voice. I like the idea of it, and I think it would have worked with more combat depth and an extra level or two, but it's a mild disappointment as-is.
its okay
