I find it fun, I think it has potential. Try the demo, and if you don't like it don't buy it. You will be doing what you do in the demo for the rest of the game, but with your own character. Maybe they'll add more with time, we'll see,
i really like the game im also a fan of the sao anime so i was really exited for this game. my only issue is that its not open world and the devs wint for a linear path. although there is a mod that fixes that and i use all the time. https://www.nexusmods.com/echoesofaincrad/mods/55 very good mod makes the world open so you can go anywhere you want. other then that the game is very fun and i really like it.
The game has amazing graphics, but many major flaws. First of all it's not open world, the world feels empty, there are only mobs to fight, you don't find any PKr's NPCS or anything to discover, you cannot go outside of quest areas it's teleporting you. To me it feels a game that has incredible graphics and art style but the team that has to make gameplay got fired and left it unfinished.
I have played all the SAO Games there are and probably will play more to come; this game truly had great potential. It's like a framework of a game that has some bad decision making and just needs more polish is where I have come to my conclusion after 80 hours of playing it. the world it big and beautiful, truly let me realize just how big Aincrad was, but at the same time, it just highlight how little there is to do in this world, I don't mind long exploration as long it gives a meaning or a reason for me to do so, so far there is only chest and short cut, chest have nothing good in them most of the time, sometime there is blue print that is somewhat nice to have but most of the time you probably already got those weapon from a random mob, I wish they did it where mob don't drop those weapon, at least not so often, make it a rare drop or even make mob drop rare material so I could use blueprint to craft them would feel more like SAO. Sort cut is useless since I'm there to get the chest; after I get what I need, I won't ever come back to this part of the map again most of the time. there is so little to do when the world is so big, the world feel alive and not at the same time, it's truly a shame because I really liked the concept and some of the execution... but the game just feels like it had a idea and was abended due to it be too ambitious, I still enjoyed my time and probably will aim for the plat because I'm SAO fan.
been loving this game so far! i know there is alot of negative reviews for this game. i can totally understand where those poeple are coming from, cause they expected a different type of game. theres also some bugs that they still need to workout, and such. ive been loving it, cause it brings me back to first watching the anime. the story is good so far! and the combat is so fun! im hoping they dont abandon this game, and add so much more to it! this game has all the potential in the world!
I'm a fan of SAO, so I was really looking forward to this game. I wanted to like it - really, really like it. At the beginning, I actually did, but overall I found myself forcing myself to keep playing just to finish it. Cons - Repetitive fights that just aren't fun. - Companions are constantly talking ("I see a treasure chest!", "Enemies ahead!", "Safe area!", etc.). After an hour, it becomes nerve-racking. - Exploring and opening chests is basically pointless. You go out of your way to unlock barriers, only to find some money or consumables and by then, you already have more than enough of both. Pros - Beautiful environments. - Great music. - You get to play as your own character in SAO again, just like in Fatal Bullet. I usually enjoy games even when most people don't, but unfortunately I just couldn't enjoy this one. The story is alright, the world is beautiful, but the gameplay is terrible. Some people might still like it, maybe those who aren't as familiar with SAO.
People are too spoiled nowadays One of the best SAO adaptations ever!I absolutely love this game! In my opinion, this is honestly one of the first and absolute best adaptations of the Sword Art Online universe into a video game format. The combat feels amazing, and the RPG mechanics capture the true feeling of Aincrad perfectly. However, looking at the reviews, it's clear that the gaming community has become incredibly spoiled. Modern game development takes an incredible amount of time, money, creativity, and human effort. Yet, if a game isn't 100% complete with 100 floors on day one, it gets instantly review-bombed. Here is the harsh reality that negative reviewers fail to understand: If people keep leaving continuous negative feedback, there will be no sequel or continuation. If sales collapse due to toxic reviews, Bandai Namco will see it as a financial failure. Despite all the massive initial investments, the publisher will pull the plug. The studio will be forced to move on, and we will never get the sequel or the DLCs to finish the story. I bought the Ultimate Edition because I believe in this project and want to support the developers. If you are a true SAO fan, give this project the patience, respect, and support it deserves so we can climb the rest of Aincrad together!
tbh its interesting and i hope future update make the game better than before
