HTC VIve user here, The demo's graphics are pretty good. But the controls need some fine tuning. One controller has the motion sickness sensitive look to move feature and the other has the "Dash" option which is pretty much the better point and teleport option. However. both are active at the same time. I'm missing an option to choose one over the other or to at least disable the look to move one. although it did not move me that often The guns feel good. and satisfying. However the sword swings fine but the impact on the ragdolls make it look more like a mace. Also it hit an enemy so hard once it went flying from my hands to land past the enemies. Thankfully i had another hand with a weapon left and punching also worked. The enemy AI could be better. They just stand and shoot mostly and turn around instantly. But the bullets are slow enough to dodge. Floor location does seem to be an issue. the game floor was 5 cm under my real floor and since "Noclip" does not work in real life I was happy that you can pull guns on the floor to your hands. I do dislike the fact that once a gun is empty you often have to pick up a new one. some reload. some don't. But since every enemy drops their gun it's not a huge problem. In the tutorial you do get a moment where you have to do a dash shield bash. It's bound to Leftshift+space+your controller dash button. That won't do. do not add keyboard controls in a standing VR game. EVER. The boss fight was meh. I ended up getting stuck in the forcefield making me a sitting duck (got out via the look movement). But aside from that the boss health is a bit much. All in all a good demo. Still looking forward to the full game but can't find much developer info so we will see.
Not a good first impression. Experienced on Samsung Odyssey+ HMD
This reminded me of a classic N64 game, one that would be stuck in a bargain bin and forgotten about. Might be a demo, but it's a bad one; the combat barely works on WMR, the visuals are dated, and strange framerate hitches with the canned explosion effects upon defeating enemies that I've never experienced before in any VR game so, poorly optimized too. The story didn't make any sort of sense, what little was shown; it didn't even leave enough to make me want more because I simply didn't know what the hell was going on. Chief complaint is how incredibly frustrating it is to pick up weapons from the ground; I had no way of changing my player height in-game because the menu buttons were shields, and the trackpads being the only way of movement and not the joysticks for some reason meant i kept sliding around trying to get -just- the right spot to grab a weapon, hopefully. Never did manage to get the sword out either. The climax of the demo with a giant mecha that comes out of nowhere to defeat a horde of enemies sounds good on paper, but it was very stilted and awkward in application. This is far from anything I would consider spending money on, and fortunately I didn't.
deffo needs polishing out but i like the concept.
Rammstein
Very good game. I would like a full version because it's quite short but it's one of the best vr games EVER.
It was a fun demo and had it's fair share of bugs and glitches. The boss fight was boring but before that I was really enjoying it. 7/10
i cant control what i do while attack in totorial
I don't know why many people bash this game. I played the demo all the way through with no problems. It is an interesting concept and is not complicated. I had no bugs or troubles. Yes it does need some polishing and more work but for a VR demo, I don't see what the big fuss is about. To me it was enjoyable. I like the melee aspect and ease of picking up guns. Some games you have to put your hand through the floor to register in game that you want to pick the gun up. This game knows if you want the gun or not and is easy to pick up guns which sounds silly but it is a big deal for me. I liked it. Try it for yourself.
En l'état actuel, le jeu est largement jouable mais incompréhensible. Je ne recommande pas car MECHA EVERYWHERE
