**Gameplay**
This game is definitely the best dynasty warriors in gameplay and it always gives you a reason to play and it's very addicting, especially how you deal with both the pawns and the generals, and the generals system is the best thing they have done to the series, over all, this game must be the foundation of later games of this series in terms of gameplay.
**Story** (no spoilers)
This game i would say has two stories, the three kingdoms and Ziluan's story.
the story of the three kingdoms is very good, i wouldn't say it's better than dynasty warriors 8 (i didn't play 9) because dynasty warriors 8 focus on every kingdom to the last bit, until the kingdom's end which was so detailed and and enticing, but in origins unfortunately it stops in the middle.
the story of Ziluan in the other hand is horrifying, the character itself do not talk (doesn't have voice acting in story) and the choices you make in story is useless to say the least, i wish if officers could love you or hate you for your responses but no, they don't and his side of the story over all is just bad, unfortunately i can't share it so i don't spoil it but it doesn't matter anyways because it's bad.
**Graphics**
Actually i was impressed by how much the graphics improved in this game because when i saw DW 9 it was horrifying and so bad that i was very scared to buy it, and thank God i didn't, but this game is very good in graphics and i hope next games to be the same or even better.
**Design**
The design in the game is mostly very good but i hate how most of the characters looks soft, either from normal dynasty characters or the origin's characters, and i hate so much how they shaved my boy Liu Bei. and the weapons are a bit disappointing but what can you do, i hope if the characters had their unique weapons instead of all of them being cloned.
**Characters**
Characters in this game are actually pretty good and i like how they mostly open up for your character, it's unrealistic yes but it lets you see how some people think, like Lu Bu, seeing the talkative side of him instead of talking only about power and smashing skulls.
And i swear to God! probably one of the worst female characters! most of them, even the married ones! they flirt with your character! this is really ridiculous, maybe only the two good female characters are Diaochan and Sun Shangxiang, and if you play the game you will probably know why i said those two especially.
Oh right, the hypothetical stories of the three kingdoms in this game are so bad, unlike DW 8, because it has no massive impact and some of them doesn't even change anything, and i mean it literally.
